A mascot fight is one that is staged. This wasn't. Krazie is being ultra-cool about the whole thing. Just wearing a mascot costume doesn't give anyone the ability to tackle you. Cooler heads prevailed in this situation (led by Krazie), but this isn't acceptable conduct. It seems like OU is taking care of it on their end...but for anyone to say that this is normal, typical or encouraged is ridiculous.

Props to this guy for dedicating a large part of the past year of his life on this one fight then looking like a tool. I guess that was a foregone conclusion but he could have at least taken down the unsuspecting OSU mascot. Oh well, sounds like things are going real well for him. Where does he go to school again? Hocking Hills BFE?

Thumbs up to the Ohio athletic department for banning this moron from future OU athletic events.

Thumbs down to to the Ohio athletic department for not checking the credentials of this moron before allowing him to become the mascot. It's an embarrassment for those of us who are proud to call ourselves Ohio alum.

Thumbs down to a few douche bag OC posters who equate all of OU, Hocking Tech, southeastern Ohio, and Appalachia in general to the actions of one self-centered delusional twit.

I want to take a survey of every college town in the country, if they check for student ID before choosing their mascot.

I could be completely wrong, but I would venture a guess and say less than 30% of schools check for ID's. I mean especially in a town like Athens where if you're 19, you're automatically assumed to be in the collegiate demographic.

C'mon are you guys really serious about krazie suing this guy? That would ruin all of the goodwill Krazie has been getting from being the bigger man. This story has become huge in the past day or so, krazie would be getting barbecued all over for such a frivolous lawsuit.

what's next? the sausage sueing the bratwurst, who in turn sues the hungarian hot dog?? the whole thing is hilarious, Brutus (aka krazie) took the high road and is a OC folk hero, and football nation is talking about it--it's all good :cool:

Common sense....it's really that simple. The mascots represent the universities in athletic and public (sometimes nationally televised) functions. If universities don't check the credentials then that's stupidity of exponential proportion....IMHO. ;)

Sorry if this isn't the time or place for this....

I got an email from a staffer with the Comedy Central show "Tosh 2.0", and they are looking for Brutus, presumably for a Web Redemption. I am not interested in stalking krazie, I'm just trying to pass along info....I also informed the staffer that Ohio State rules will most likely forbid Brutus from appearing without consent of the school.
