That play where stubbs scored should not be an RBI for Hernandez! It should be an infield hit taking stubbs to 3rd, then he scored on the bad throw to 1B that should be an error as it got away allowing Stubbs to score.

Then a Gomes single, Bruce double, Stubbs 2-run single, Hernandez infield RBI single, and the Reds are up 9-2.

I'm fine with the odds to win the game if you just keep it the way it is.

Yeah, its fine....but you have to AT LEAST make it so that you can only bet once. I mean this game was 2/1 ad 3/1. Bet on both and hope the Tribe wins, that way you win money...but if not, you are even.

A typical line is gonna read Reds -1.5 or Tribe 1.5.

The Indians are baaaad.

In other news, Cabrera looks fine. He stole 2nd tonight and has been swinging the bat well. He appears healthy, he's just been slumping. He's not a career .280+ hitter. He is probably going to hover around .260-.270 all year

Cabrera is playing the Indians. Their staff and team in general is like vampire blood. It cures shit in like 2 minutes.

10-3 Reds now.
Anyone want to tell me again that this Tribe team is going to end up .500 or better?

Yeah I know not one person predicted that one here. :)

That is a lousy way to do it, to bet one team or the other wins by 2 or more. They aren't playing to see who can win by two, or lose only by one, they are playing to just win by whatever they can. So the right thing is to do it by odds, but they should always add up to 100%. ie: 2:1 and 1:2, 3:2 and 2:3, 57:43 and 43:57, etc. It always is unfair when a team wins, but loses the bet!

I'm talking about this game for fun here should always add up to 100%. If you are trying to make money on running a gambling operation, then the the odds have to add up to less than 100% overall to represent the profit margin.

gotcha. Well yeah thats fine. I was just saying do lines instead of the odds since in this case you could hedge your bets to be even or ahead. If you do it adding up to 100, that wont be an issue.

I'm not thinking clearly....had I made this Reds win 3:2 odds and CLeveland wins 2:3 odds

what would a bet of 10 on the Reds got me? 5?
What would betting 10 on Cleveland have gotten me? 15?

Am I lost....I'm not supposed to think in the summer

If it was 3:2, you'd get 1.5x what you bet (so a bet of 10 would return 15)
2:3 would return 6 or 7 I think, 1:2 would return 5 on a 10 bet.

Is 1:2 the same as 1 in 2 chance? If so the $10 on a 1 in 2 chance would return $20 wouldn't it?

2:1 would be $5?

Someone keep helping on the exact terminology? This Reds win was a 1 in 2 odds.....I bet 10 and won 20....where am I gettingl ost or messing up?
