"Have been". Get it? Past tense. Do I need to further explain? Miami hasn't been that great. They are improving. So who knows what will happen this season. I don't think RS is that good of a coach...so I don't think they will be great this year. But ya never know, or do you?

Exactly, bullshit exaggeration. Typical. Again, "has been". Past tense. Never said "is" a joke. Wow...I honestly feel sorry for you as you can't even understand simple English. Night.

So they have been a joke recently, but when they step onto the field in Columbus, they will no longer be? Got it. Good night to you too, enjoy your nocturnal emission while thoughts of double standards dance in your head.

Is it really that hard of a concept to comprehend?

2006: 7-6
2007: 5-7
2008: 7-6
2009: 9-4

Most preseason polls have them somewhere in the 12-20 range. Is that the game of the year? Of course not. Who knows how either school will end up? But on paper, Miami definitely has a decent team this year. Much better than years 2006-2008 ("joke" years) would indicate.

Couldn't you same the same thing for ND? Most irish fans would admit they have been a joke recently. Do you think they will be the same this year? Or is it possible for a team to progress? Interesting concept.

Don't waste your time showing facts. Just accept that "double standard" bullshit and move on. Its much easier that way. Its not worth dealing with the nitwits who hate OSU. They throw some exaggerate spin on things anyway.

And yes there is a double standard on here. Teams magically get better in everyone's minds when they show up on OSU's schedule. How many years has ND been ripped for having Navy on the schedule? Last year they are very close to tying the game in the closing minutes in the Shoe, and all of a sudden they are a tough respectable team? Notre Dame's schedule has at least 3 Big Ten teams on it year in and year out, yet they play a cupcake schedule. All we hear about is what a meatgrinder the Big Ten conference is. I realize you have spent all of 35 minutes outside of the 270 loop in your life, but there is more to life than OSU football.

LOL at OSU's toughest game being the joke Miami. OSU should win by 30 right? Can't wait for game week, when you are singing a different tune like you do every other week.

OSU fan's rip Florida's OOC schedule while playing FSU and Miami in the same year. Something, by the way we'll NEVER see OSU do...yet FSU and Miami have been a "joke" for quite some time. Now that OSU only has 1 OOC game this year and it's Miami and they are no longer a joke. LOL! Not sure they, or a select 1 maybe 2, understand the word double standard.

I think we had this discussion on another thread and you might have been involved. How OSU fans would come screaming to the defense of Miami being back, since they are now on the OSU schedule.

2002, 2003 when Miami was a top 3 team and FSU was ranked. This would be when they both were not a joke as some on here have said about them recently. They also played Miami in the Peach Bowl following the 2004 season after finishing the regular season with FSU.

So you think Miami has been a top-notch program the last 4 years? If not, how would you define them? Were they ever ranked in the top 15 as they are going into this season? Do you understand the concept that a program can be down for a few years?

And forgive me if I don't think FSU is a difficult opponent. Like I said before, this isn't the 90s.

2004: 9-3
2005: 8-5
2006: 7-6
2007: 7-6
2008: 9-4
2009: 7-6

All while being in the ACC. Why do you make a big deal about scheduling them again?

when did miami all of sudden become good. last season they escaped with a win over FSU when on the last play of the game a FSU reciever dropped the game winning td pass. i dont see miami as being being vastly superior to FSU.

I'm not saying Miami is an elite program....but guess which fan base is defending them because they are on their schedule this year? But they aren't a good enough team when Florida schedules them. Get it?

Dude, no one is saying Miami has been a great program, but you are blind as a bat if you dont think they have been down, but have been getting better the past couple of years.

My main argument is against florida state..i understand they are a rival and all, but you are crazy if you call them a good team right now.

I must have missed where a "fan base" stated that Miami wasn't good enough only on the years Florida scheduled them. I did see where other OSU fans, including myself, stated that Miami has been down in the recent past. You and the domers attempt to spin this into some strange theory that Miami is only good during the year OSU schedules them.

So:

1) Would you agree that Miami has been down in the recent past?

and

2) Would you agree that they will be/are supposed to be a top 15-20 team this year?

and

3) Would you agree that if so, that would be their best finish in 6 or so years?

Where do you think FSU will be ranked when the polls come out? Do you think teams in the top 20 are good? Also, I never said Miami wasn't down.

1. yes
2. yes
3. not sure...possibly. What does that at all have to do with the fact that you said Florida doesn't schedule difficult non conference games? Are FSU and Miami difficult non conference opponents or not? Seems to me you are trying to give OSU credit for playing Miami this year, because they are "supposed" to be a top 20 team. Were they not good in the early 2000's when Florida played them? They played them in 2008 as well. Should Florida drop them when 2013 rolls around if they aren't up to OSU fans standards, and try to pick up a tougher non conference game?
