personally, the kid and father knew the possibilities were there for USC to get hammered. They chose USC knowing that. Enjoy your time in Los Angeles. He does not deserve to be cleared of his LOI. If he wants to transfer, go down a division or wait a year. There has to be consequences for every decision.

now that OSU education is coming to the front. is that what you learned at OSU? do you believe everything that scout and rivals say? i know i dont. maybe at OSU they should have taught you to think for yourself.

Yes, that Big 10 EDU coming to the forefront, gotcha. Helped me to recall you're no more than an OSU hater with no real input of any value, that's fine by the way, you reap what you sow. And please with the "think for yourself" crap, you can see these players a mile away, at least you can when you you've been around more than 25 years :D. I don't wish the "kid" ill, I actually hope Kiffin lets him out his LOI, as I said I don't think it was 100% his decision which we would agree it should have been. Pops needs to back off and let the kid do what he needs to do imo. If that means trying to attend OSU, fine, but I would pass on him. We'll be fine without him.

Kiffin is just the kind of guy to get USC to not let him out of the LOI, even if he wants out of it.

Could turn into a Rober Marve from Miami situation where if he is released from his scholly there's a ton of stipulations about what schools he can and cannot attend

OSU hater? spare me. maybe its the crap that their fan base does that i hate. when OSU is recruiting a player he is the greatest thing since the face mask. then when he picks another school the buckeye faithful line up to bash the kid, and dream up some crazy story why he didnt pick OSU. or say he doesnt have the grades to attend osu. good gracious look at some some of the dummies that osu has recruited. jamal anderson quit high school in his junior year but yet his grades are in order and henderson's arent? how can that be? its always something with buckeye nation. if a kid doesnt pick OSU how about just saying oh well . wish him the best and move on. but no it turns into bashing season.

Much of what came out about Henderson and his old man, was AFTER the fact. Thus, its very easy to understand (to those non bias) why some of us, just really don't want the baggage at this point in time.
And many were saying this during the recruiting process as well. I feel for the kid...he was "BS'd" into signing with USC by Kid Kiffin. Well, as mentioned, he and his father knew the chance they were taking by doing so. No one knew exactly what was going to happen. But there was always a chance they would be severe...and they in fact were. Well, when you take a chance like this, you are taking a risk instead of taking the safe route. Had he chosen OSU or Miami...this wouldn't be going on. And that is the price you pay for taking chances.
If he gets out of his letter of intent, and happens to come to OSU..I'll do nothing but accept him. But at this point, based on what I have read...I honestly don't want him, and OSU doesn't need him currently.
As for his grades and admission...do your research. OSU has turned away many top recruits who wouldn't qualify, or didn't. Does OSU have a few scholarships to play with? Absolutely, just like all selective colleges do.
And if you think OSU football is not taking grades seriously....look no further then what recently happened with the son of OSU LEGEND Chris Carter.
And if you think OSU fans are any different then any other major fan base...then your just flat out blinded by your hatred. That is fact. Go jump on other message boards and you will see it within minutes.

if he ran a 4.3 forty do you really think he would have flunked out? his grades would have been fine.

You are clueless. I think he had a 0.00. You can't even cheat for someone if they don't even go to class and try... Carter wasn't dismissed because of his lack of skills. He is a reciever that runs good routes and has good hands. Any college team would take him in a heartbeat.

Latest word is that Cretin-Derham Hall grad Seantrel Henderson, who was assured by new Southern California football coach Lane Kiffin during recruitment that USC would not receive serious NCAA penalties, is balking at his commitment and now leaning toward Miami, even though he would have to sit out a transfer season.

He'd set the curve at an SEC school.

And you couldn't be more wrong. OSU has had their share of players not make the cut whether that be grades or whatever...dismissed from the program. Do your research and stop making yourself look more foolish then you already have.

BTW..Carter was a 4 star coming out of HS and had quite a few big time programs recruiting him. Does he have 4.3 speed? No. Did his father have 4.3 speed? Not even close...but was still a GREAT college and Pro player.

they also have had their fair share of players that should have been dismissed from the program for grades or whatever that werent. what you need to do is take a step back and look at the program for what it is. OSU isnt lily white. they have had their fair share of dummies and trouble makers. but yet OSU fans just love to cast stones at other programs at mere mention of impropriety. think about this jamal turner basically quit attending high school midway thru his junior year and yet signed a LOI to attend OSU february. wanna tell me how good his grades were?

Wanna tell me what a high school kid that has never stepped foot on campus has to do with anything?

You ain't a Buckeye until you become one, Turner doesn't qualify.
