Normally I support President Obama and his policies. But this is one time when I think he's dead wrong. The only reason Arizona passed this law was because the federal government wasn't doing enough to protect our borders and to keep illegals out. Arizona is suffering because of illegal immigration and the people had to do something.

I needed some work done on my home. My neighbor suggested I go to Home Depot and pick up a few Mexicans. I declined, even though I speak Spanish and talking to them would not have been a problem. I hired some Americans instead. I paid more and the work wasn't very good, but at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that I did not add to the problem with illegals.

This administration is a damn joke. They don't have anything better to do than this? What happened to states rights?

Fed sue Arizona over immigration laws that are in compliance to federal laws but the federal laws where never enforced by the federal government ....... but go on a nation wide hunt for 17 Afghan that the government brought to this country to train but they decided to skip the training and enjoy America ..........and one Afghan has even become a American citizen (that respectable and honest act). The Obama Administration and the Public Servant are out of touch with the morals and values of this great Nation.

Those went out the door after the Civil War and the introduction of the all-encompassing "Commerce Clause."

If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation.”

Those are two things that jumped out to me in the article. Lets not forget Philipe Calderon shitting on Arizona in the house before a joint session of congress and one side of the isle standing up and applauding and the other sitting on their ass without the balls to let out one boo, hiss, or better yet you better get your ass back to Mexico.

Saw this quote on Redstate and it seemed entirely appropriate.

I do find it rather peculiar that the Secretary of State made the announcement first breaking the news that our government was suing one of its own states while doing an interview in a foreign land for the people of Ecuador. Doesn't necessarily strike me as the appropriate venue, but that has never really mattered much to our humble, beloved public servant.

I was reading an article somewhat relating to the Arizona law and the main premise behind it was that we can expect the President to fight tooth and nail against a papers law because he fundamentally does not believe in the need for them as there is still a group in this country that does not believe he has showed sufficient papers to have his job. I saw that picture again though and just started laughing because it just seemed kind of funny to me in the context of everything going on surrounding the immigration debate.

The only people who whine about the Bush blame are the people who think Bush wasn't a terrible president. The only people who still blame Bush for Obama's shortcomings are idiots though so...

There are some things that Bush did horribly which do and have carried over to this administration, the two wars being one of those things. However, there has been and still is plenty of time for this administration to make itself on its own action rather than to continue down the road looking silly for trying to fix others messes.

I am registered as a Dem and think that Bush was terrible. Obama is 17 months into his term. The blaming Bush game is just an excuse. Shouldn't Obama at least be improving the things that he blames Bush for. Many of the things that Obama blames Bush for have become worse since Obama took over.

Kyl continued, “In other words, they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’”

Sen. Kyl also said he reminded President Obama that the President and the Congress has an obligation, a duty, to secure the border.

Source aside, if this exchange really happened between Obama and Kyl it is disturbing.

Notice how I said disturbing instead of surprising. This is real bare knuckle politics, as Obama is holding border security hostage in exchange for amnesty for the 12+ million future democrat votes from grateful immigrants that would be legalized as well as Latinos as a whole. BHO realizes if the Democrat party is able to co-opt the Latino vote the way they have the black vote they can set up a permanent majority given the demographics of this country the next 50 years. He wants to be seen as their great liberator.

To think though he would verbally tell a U.S senator he planned on abdicating his role of protecting the American people and let the border stay porous until he gets amnesty is pretty ballsy. BHO has no fear of the electorate, and this is and example pure hardcore Chicago politics at work.

Obama should be impeached for that. He won't, though, because the media refuse to do their jobs. Unfuckingbelievable. Hope and change.

not only that, he has continued many of the Bush policies that he criticized Bush about. interesting how things changed for him once he was elected.

Remember it was the federal government that invaded Iraq. Maybe if we followed the constitution to the letter, as the states allowed federal power concerning war, and formally declared war this would not have happened.

What a shame the federal government forced all states to make the legal drinking age to be 21, yet somehow finds 18yr old kids responsible enough to take part and die in their ordered invasion.

Can you answer that for us since you think states rights are so shitty?
