I'm NOT saying hate Lebron (but I WILL say hate Modell until that mother fucker is wormfood) but CHEER for him? NO CHANCE IN HELL.

Oh no BR, get ready for SQ to "rip" into you for that comment. We're all idiots because we don't suck the dick of a player.

No. I'm not going to skip it. Because you trot around threads proclaiming yourself some fuckin' brilliant NBA mind and I'm going to call you out when you fill up page after page of the most basic, 3rd grade level NBA discussion. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Cleveland fans will hate LeBron if he leaves.

No fucking shit. And I'm white. Equal statements. You do see me filling up 3 pages trying to convince people that I'm white.

Wow.

Completely over your head. Not sure why I expected anything more from you.

All this from the guy who used to have the user name LTrain23 and then bailed on it when the Cavs lost and it looked like LeBron may leave...

Yeah....I want Lebron to stay, but if he goes....I will be a Cavs fan just like I have been for the past 30 years.

As for attendance, it will dip for sure and merchandising will be wayyyyyy down. But players come and players go, so if Gilbert fields a good team, the attendance will be right back to sellouts. Every true Cleveland fan just wants a championship and I could give a shit less if we are led by Lebron or Jackie Moon.....as long as we win it.

Agree completely. Attendance will dip but the pre-Lebron fans who aren't bandwagoners will remain. I said it prior to the playoffs, if Lebron would have gotten us a championship he could have left in free agency for all I care. Would it be nice if he stayed? Sure.

I've seen the ups and downs of this franchise from The Miracle to shitbags like Dinner Bell Mel, Ricky Davis, etc good teams with Daugherty, Price, Nance, etc (who would've had 2-3 rings had it not been for that bastard in Chicago) to Lebron (and everything in between).

Listened to that shit on my transistor radio as a 7 year old kid. Lebron leaving isn't going to bitter me on the TEAM.

That wasn't even the main topic of the conversation but go ahead and pretend it is so you can make your point....

The main topic was about:

1. Whether or not "90% of Cavs fans were bandwagoners" and will not root for the Cavs if LeBron leaves and

2. The franchise's future in Cleveland if LeBron leaves.

The hating LeBron if he leaves thing was a later detail brought in very late in the conversation. If you think this thread is "3rd grade level" then by reading some of your posts I'd have to assume that you are inferring that it's too complicated for you to understand.

I think that has more to do with the stores than the fans. I know down here in Cincinnati...the ONLY Cavs jersey you can buy is a Lebron jersey. I've seen a Shaq jersey for sale twice...and that's it. So outside of Cleveland...if fans want any kind of jersey, they are pretty limited as to whose jersey they can buy.

You're bringing up points and I'm countering them. And what the fuck are you talking about? There is no way in hell I'd wish anything for LeBron if he left. Are you high? I don't cheer for ANYBODY that's not in Cleveland. I'm a CLEVELAND fan not a players fan (obviously I gotta keep saying it). I do like other players, but that's merely just to watch them, I don't care if they win or lose the game at hand.

My goodness... I mean seriously, what you just said made 0 sense.

I'm saying we get the point you're a Cavs fan first. You mentioned it several times already in multiple threads. I didn't say you'd wish anything on him. What the fuck are you talking about? YOU, let me repeat, YOU said that your friends said he'll be public enemy number 1 if he leaves. Why are you usually trying to put words into my mouth? I merely said it's sad people would be that bitter that they could go from LOVING a guy to HATING him just because he left town. Be glad you got to watch such great talent. Be bummed when he leaves for bigger and better things for him. Wish him luck and maybe wish for his individual success. If his team meats up with yours in the finals, sorry buddy, this is war. I guess that's why players make comments here and there about the city of Cleveland. The "real" fans really don't give a fuck about them, just the city's team. If you ever leave, fuck 'em!

Ha Ha!...."meats". And that's what he is....a chunk of meat to market. IF he leaves, I wish him NO success. I don't really give a crap for the NBA, I just want a major sport championship. I still think about the Yankee hat at the Indian's game!

I never said you said I wished ill-will. I was just clearing it up in case I was sounding wrong when I said I don't wish anything good for LeBron when he left. As you can see, none of the Cleveland fans would, why would we? We cheer for the TEAM not the player.

And I'd love to see quotes from players talking about our fans, because I always remember how players say we have great, die-hard fans. Because we do.

And honestly, do you think I give a fuck about what some millionaire athlete thinks in the first place? I'm not here to worry about their feelings. They're there to entertain us and win us ball games--it's a business for them and an entertainment for us. I don't care if it's LeBron James or LeBrim Jones, as long as somebody wins us a championship--and when/if they do, they'll be a GOD.

Yea because Shaq is so well received when he goes back to Orlando, LA, or Miami....they are all so appreciative of his talent.....PLEASE

This is the case with most sports fans of most teams. You care about guys that play for YOUR favorite team. If they no longer play for your team why should you have interest in them?

I bet you think Browns fans should root for the Ravens too? I mean they used to be in Cleveland, they brought a lot of great memories. We should be thankful we got to see them play. Just because they leave our city doesn't mean we shouldn't drop to our knees and suck on their balls....

I mean do you actually believe what you are saying or are you just trying to stir the pot? LeBron James is my favorite player BECAUSE he plays for the Cavs. If he voluntarily leaves the Cavs he's leaving my fanhood as well. He won't care, and neither will I.

Hey guys,

Truly I wasn't surprised when Ferry decided to part ways. Grant has been in the wings for quite some time and he was ready to take the position. I don't think Ferry necessarily agreed with Gilbert on letting Brown go, but one thing is for sure LeBron was asked by Gilbert before he decided to let both go.

And from what Windy has said Cleveland is already in talks on a major trade with a Cali team (not sure if it has been mentioned).

Rumors are it will either be the Warriors or Clippers. It wont be the Lakers and I cant see the Cavs making a move with the Kings. There are a couple rumors out there according to guys on WKNR:

Monta Eliis and the 6th pick for Mo, Delonte and a filler or two

or

Possibly Kaman/Davis and the 8th pick in the draft.

It sounds like the Cavs would like to make a move that will get them back into the draft

By trading Monta Ellis, no.. By adding the 6th pick? Yes.

Monta Ellis doesn't fit with Stephen Curry, who is obviously the guy in Golden St. now. I could see the Warriors trading Monta for Mo, who is a more consistent shooter and would help spread the floor with Curry.

Not too mention the Warriors would also get Delonte, whom they could release or keep as he is still a very solid player and defender.

I can't see them dealing the 6th round pick though.

EDIT

The only way I could see them trading the 6th pick is if the Cavs buy into the 1st round (say around a 16th-18th pick and package that) since GSW may not want to pay back-to-back lottery picks.

Yea that seems like a big BS rumor to me. If anything, I'd expect the Cavs to be the one's giving up a 1st rounder.
