So the only reasons you watch is to hear Simon talk for about 5 minutes the entire show!? Don't buy it at all, I guess we will have to wait and see.

The problem is Nashley that Simon is at least half the reason people watch the auditions and if he isn't on there to make people laugh then they just won't watch the show. I know of a few people that have already stated that they won't be tuning in next season and I live in a small area. I will probably give it a shot but I just don't think the show will make it without Simon.

It's the only reason I watch it during auditions. And I think that the judges become untollerable next year because Randy and Kara take on bigger roles and they will bring in someone to try to be like Simon and it just won't work.

AI without Simon there to rip on people is just Star Search IMO. People now watch the performances and try to guess in advance what Simon has to say. I catch myself saying to my wife "Sounded too Cabaret" or "Something you would see on a Cruiseship" or "That was absolutely dreadful". Just last night I knew Simon was going to say something about Bowersox singing "Black Velvet". It's all part of the fun of the show.

just heard on a local radio station that yahoo.com had Lee ahead by 15-20% more votes...not sure how accurate the info is,but it's what they're reporting...hope they're wrong...

Based on last night Crystal should win going away...she was that much better than Lee.

That being said, as far as last night being a Finale...it was pretty underwhelming.

Haha....Missed it last night. Cable operator rolled out new box software and it reset all my scheduled recordings.

Doesn't matter who wins this year. Both are going to be successful, provided Bowersox doesn't try to "stay true to her roots" and ends-up pushing out crap.

The ONLY reason folks started watching American Idol back in Season 1 was because there was a judge, Simon, who told kids auditioning they sucked...Every show prior to American Idol was like Star Search. Then we had this show that had a judge tell it like it is...

Without Simon, this show will go the way of, lets say, had Jerry Seinfeld left "Seinfeld" early and the show went on....It would have been canceled immediately. This is what will happen after next season, bet the farm on it. And don't forget, this show is doing terrible ratings wise even today w/ Simon! The show has run its course.....end it.

This is why people watch AI, the finales never fail to satisfy. Bret Michaels, from one step in the grave to two feet on the biggest stage on tv.

I tuned in to watch this Crystal chick with Alanis and that is literally the only thing I've seen from this entire season and I have to say, she is probably the best contestant I've ever seen on Idol. Hope she wins, but does it really matter at this point? Both finalists will have record deals and they'll put out music anyways. She's awesome though.
