Man, Lee stunk up the joint tonight, on the night it all mattered. Crystal, on the other hand, was freaking brilliant!

Crystal swept tonight. Why didn't Lee have an original song? It seems like he is the first contestant ever to not have an original song for his last.

Not sure Lee's song choices were the best last night. If you base everything on last night then Crystal should win but stranger things have happened.

I've been pulling for Lee from day 1. He is much more commercial, and you are going to see him making #1 hits. Crystal won't be mainstream and will eventually become unknown (despite how talented she may be).

With that said, Crystal owned the night last night. I was disappointed with Lee. However, he only got to pick one of the three songs he sang. So in hindsight....it's really not his fault.

I still think Lee wins, but I think it went from a landslide, to a very, VERY close race. After last night, I wont be disappointed either way and I look forward to seeing what they are doing for Simon.

Crystal should win because she is the better of the two. But Fantasia won a few years back - so anything can happen. And Lee is far better than Fantasia was.

I LOL'ed at Simon and Kara's comments to Lee after the last song. The pretty much admitted he sucked last night with comments "Well, you gave it your best shot".

Tonight will be a farewell to Simon. I am hoping they don't bring this show back for another season without him. The show is going to be horrible without him.

Mama Sox rocked last night--she was awesome...it seemed Lee was overwhelmed in that huge theater--he just never looked comfortable or confident...Crystal on the other hand looked like she belonged there-she frickin' owned the stage...GO NWO !!!!!

btw,Mama Sox wins it--in a close one :cool:

Although I've liked Lee, I thought last week he was really good, but pretty average over the course of the season.

I always came away thinking Chrystal was the best, and I do think she wins. She rocked last night!

Exactly, it has been his issue all season, he's been better at it lately but he is still uncomfortable in a crowd.

Based on last night, Crystal should win, but I'm not suprised or terribly upset if Lee wins. He's been better than her the last 4 or 5 weeks. Crystal peaked with Me and Bobby McGee several weeks ago and has sort of coasted in, but she did much better last night than last week.

Crystal is easily one of the most talented singer/musicians to appear on Idol. She SHOULD win fairly easily. That last song last night was the best thing I've heard on that show in a few years. I've liked Lee all along, seems like a very nice guy, and with the perfect song he sounds great . . . but he's still not as good as Crystal.

Crystal in a 'much closer than it should be' victory.

For those of you who think Idol wont last w/o Simon are wrong. The show isn't about him it's about the contestants, always has been always will.

^ Sorry but I'm afraid you are wrong. The ratings will fall dramatically without Simon. The show may survive but it will be a mere shell of what it is now and won't last too long.
