You could say, "wouldn't they rather play in a stadium that all the NFL teams have played in, and right next to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame??" I think the NFL carries a little more weight than Ohio State.
Most people that travel around the country to other games consider The Shoe the greatest college stadium in the country. Most media pundits also say this. Hell Beano Cook raves about it calling it the greatest and he is the Pope of college football. The Roman architecture is awesome! Those aren't "Ohio State fans".
I don't think you can consider comparing NFL stadiums to college stadiums. The NFL stadiums are all new and don't have the character and tradition that college stadiums have. But if you asked what had more weight a NFL player or college, it's a no brainer. It's the NFL.
At Cleveland, that stadium is new and has 0 championships and few if any All Pros that took the field for the Browns.
Same in Cinci. The Shoe has been around since the 20's with multiple heismans and champions that echo the hallways.
I do think that playing in the Faucett does have allure with the HOF next door and the NFL opening up the preseason there every yr. I don't think there is anything that special about Massilon's stadium though. Think about the team that lost the championship game telling his grandkids about playing at Massilon stadium (yawn).
