Indeed, they didn't release any singles from In Utero, it is difficult to have a "hit" when you don't send singles to Top 40 stations. I think in some regards Cobain is held in too high of a regard, but it is unquestionable IMO that Nevermind and In Utero were two of the top ten most influential albums in the 90's.
And Nickelback, barf, it is commercial butt rock at its worst. At least the 80's hair bands had some standards.
