Only game 1, no need to get too worried Pens fans. Fleury was shaky, but the offense wasn't bad at all.

I still see the Pens winning in five or six.

The real killer was when the Pens had clearly shifted the momentum and Kunitz got sent to the box on a totally bogus charging call, Ottawa converted the PP. It was clear that he was trying to get around the Ottawa player who was down on the ice. Plus, right before that play, Crosby takes an elbow from Spezza and nothing was called. They're going to have to find a way to overcome bad breaks and maybe create a few breaks of their own.

I knew this series was going to be a tough one, Ottawa has been pretty hot down the stretch. Pens need to find that desperate mode that guided them last year.

Once Bettman set it up so DET's top scorer would miss 4 games instead of only 2 i had a feeling they "couldn't be stopped"....

A lot of talk here in the Burgh on sports radio blaming Fleury, especially from fans calling in. I thought Fleury was OK, let in a softy but three of those goals were fortuitous for the Sens.

Pens need to shoot more and get this rookie goalie for Ottawa on shaky ground. Case in point, Crosby had only ONE sot last night. I'm confident they will break him just like the broke "Marmalade" for Washington last year.

As long as the power play opportunities remain as unbalanced things should shift in PGH's favor.....

I didn't get off wrok until around 2am. I just got done watching the game and the only reason why they lost this game was due to Fleury playing with his head up his ass.

I'm I off here? Or was that rebound goal completely his fault?

My dad said I was being harsh. He mishandles the initial shot, it pops back right in front of him, not one to screen and he lets the shot in the short side of the net.

I don't bash him much because he has had some amazing performances while a Penguin. Its just little things about him that irk me.

One goal took a crazy bounce off the end boards/glass, ended up right in front of the net and on an opposing players stick. Two of the other goals took deflections either off a skate or a body and right to an opposing players stick..........you can't fault Fleury on that. Maybe the juicy rebound he gave up was bad but again, that deflected off of Sarge's skate and right to an opposing players stick. Rutuu's goal was soft but other than that, I thought he was decent.

Sidney Crosby with just one registered shot on goal is a problem, that line has to step it up big time and I think they will. Malkin seems to be finding his form of old, he dominated every time he stepped on the ice.

Ottawa got a lot of breaks in that game, they got the bounces and a couple of calls and no calls went their way (Kunitz penalty was garbage and no call on an elbow by Spezza to Sid's head). Sometimes this happens ad they will just have t fight through it and create there own breaks.

I heard that Fedotenko is sitting during game 2.

If I was Bylsma I would roll these lines.

Kuntiz-Crosby-Dupuis
Poni-Malkin-Talbot
Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
Rupp-Adams-Guerin

Orpik-Letang
Eaton-Gonchar
Gogo-Leopold

I would have the PP set up like this.

Poni-Crosby-Kuntiz
Gonchar-Malkin

I like the fact that Rupp is playing but it's got to be hard to sit Fedotenko, the guy is a star come playoff time and there's no disputing that. We'll see what happens, I hope Bylsma can produce the "midas touch" yet again.

^^^^^Feds "star playoff player" is a joke. He did the same thing Talbot did last year in the 04' finals. He's sucked all year.

He had an off year but the same can be said last year and he scored quite a few key goals in the playoffs. All I'm saying is it's one game, I think Pittsburgh can overcome another bad performance by Fedotenko against Ottawa. And, contrary to what you think, Fedotenko has a proven knack for scoring big goals in playoff games, he did it in Tampa and did it for Pittsburgh last year.

No FUCKING penalty! That's unreal! Sutton is the same guy that put Dupuis in to the boards ealier this year and received a two game suspension. They'd better suspend him for at least five for tonights cheap shot!
