I have his '86 and '89 Topps autographed. Took batting practice from him at GABP 8 or so years ago, too. Really cool guy.

Not trying to one-up, just had a cool story about Tom.

Forgive me if this is grainy and fuzzy. Clearest picture I could take. I found this today. It's nearly pristine. Corners are even still sharp.

I know the PEDs will keep him out of the Hall for awhile, but this was still a fun rookie card to find.

My son and I were going to 2nd floor of Reds HOF to get in his line for pics and autographs...as elevator was shutting an arm reached in to stop doors shutting and in he stepped. Rode elevator and walked him to his table in the Reds HOF...he is cool and nice

Nice! I didn't pay enough attention to Jeter early in his career. Obviously, I wish I'd have pursued him more at the time.

That card was so stupidly valuable 30 years ago

Unless it’s a 10 on grading (might be 🤷🏻♂️)....looks like it’s worth around $40

I've just always loved that, somehow, nobody caught that before they printed the cards.

I mean, I doubt most of mine are going to be worth much. It's more just the fun of finding them. Though admittedly, this is in ridiculously good shape.
I didn't start collecting much until about 1990, so I don't have too many worthwhile players from before then. Some, but not many.

Thinking about getting all my older Tribe cards together and seeing if DiBiasio can get them signed. Lots of the former players hang out at ST and in Cleveland throughout the season, so a decent chance. Manny would probably be toughest.

What is ST?

I think this wins.

Spring training. My dad goes with Bos each yeah and Baerga, Thome, Lofton, Murray (WTF??? lol), go out there quite a bit. Belle is in Cleveland at home games a lot. Then a lot of the pitchers still make appearances every few years.

Thanks. I was racking my brain trying to figure out ST. That is so interesting.

I think a lot of the 90s teams are really tight with Hargrove, and Grover is still very involved with the Tribe. I imagine that plays a huge part.
