Off to a good start on this 7 game west coast stretch.

DeLauter with a huge opening game.

Anybody know anything about this Hoskins guy?  New to me.

He was a solid bat for Philly for a while. Don't know where he's at career-wise now, but he had some quality years in the past.

Thanks! I had assumed he was a rookie because I’m shocked that they went out and signed a decent veteran.

haha, he is almost a 10 year vet. Not sure why, but the rookie comment made me laugh.

2023 he was hurt all year. 2024 he played all year, but was down. Last year he was hurt, but a positive player in the games he played (90). If he stays healthy, he should be a .235-.255 bat with 20+ HRs. He is not that old, so if he can stay on field, no reason to think he cant reach close to his healthy year averages. Even his down year (2024) he was perfectly league average (-0.1 WAR) with 26HR, 82RBI, in 131 games.

I don’t follow the NL too much except for the Reds.
