The kind that fly. I have never seen one before. There were about a half a dozen soaring over my property today. I did not know what they were but soared like vultures. I told my wife to look. They were gone before we got a picture it would have been a good one against the clear blue sky. I looked it up they were leucitic white turkey vultures. Anyone else ever see one of these in Ohio?

I have never seen those in my area of Ohio. Seen at least one Bald Eagle (a few sightings but they might have been the same bird) but never one of those birds. Very interesting!

Interesting. I hope they make it to my area some time. I feed a gang of crows and one of them has white stripes on its wings. There is a bald eagle nest about a mile from where I live, too.

I grew up in the country the amish had broiler houses all over the place. We had one on my great grandparents farm behind us. Alarm used to wake us up at night. The vultures love those places. You could always tell when the farmers cleaned them out. Dead chickens and shit. A vultures dream. You would see dozens of vultures circling over it. You don't even see vultures in the winter. Even stranger white ones. No way with the cold they detect death. Maybe its a sign?
