Has anyone been keeping up with this? 

It’s a pretty insane story. An 83 year old man was very sick so his son was selling his vintage Star Wars Lego collection worth about 200k to help pay his hospital fees. He has it on consignment at his local Bricks and Minifigs store. The owner of that store was moving to another country and told corporate. Corporate came in and stole her store. During that time she told them a lot of this inventory belongs to the consigner. They said corporate would deal with that. 

Then corporate got a new owner for the franchise and refused to give the consigner the legos back. He told them to sue him and he would just hold it up in court so long it would cost them more than it’s worth. A YouTuber ended up joining trying to help the family. He went thru a lot but finally ended up suing them in small claims court and winning. The store closed down the next day to avoid paying them. 

He then decided to sue them personally. While trying to serve papers he learned everyone involved including the police are Mormon and covering for each other. They arrest the YouTuber and even swat where they were staying. They wanted to hold him on no bond but the judge threw it out. When he went back home he got a call they had another warrant for him and he’s facing over 5 years in jail and that there is no bond. The YouTuber fled to Mexico to avoid jail. 

Honestly I’m leaving out a ton but if you have time watch part one and two. Two is where the police become involved and corrupt. This will 100% be a movie in a few years
