Trubisky got me thinking about where he falls in the top 1/2 of the QB rankings. I really liked him in the college and thought he could be really good....he’s looking the part a lot of late.

Who are your top 10 QB right now?

Those I’m considering: Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Wentz, Goff, Wilson, Newton, Mahomes, Roethlisberger, Stafford, Rivers, Smith, Cousins, Watson, Ryan, Prescott, Garapolo, Luck, Trubisky. Being a big Browns group I’d like to see where you rank Mayfield as well

1. Brees

2. Rodgers

3. Mahomes

4. Brady

I can be convinced to mix these 4 up about any possible way except I don’t think Brady can be #1 anymore

Leaning towards Rivers at 5 and Goff at 6

7. Wilson

8. Roethlisberger

9. Wentz

10. Cam? Trubisky? Luck returning to this list? Watson? Ryan?

Luck is and always has been at worst Top-10. He elevates shitty rosters to decent records like very few. Ranking on ability this year, not career achievements, and pure talent:

  1. Rodgers
  2. Brees
  3. Mahomes
  4. Luck
  5. Brady
  6. Rivers
  7. Ben
  8. Cam
  9. Watson
  10. Wentz

It’s tough to rank the last few and the guys who would fall 11-15. So much is schemes, coaching, players around them, etc. Tried to rank on guys I think win in any situation. Hence, Goff not being there and Wilson cracking Top-10 and Wentz only being 9 despite a potential MVP when he was healthy.

Other opinions? Laley and I agree other than he has Luck higher than I and I have Goff higher than he does

Luck is top 5, easily. He is so damn accurate.

Luck is 15th in passer rating

Not top 10 in yards per attempt or yards per completion or completion %

5th in interceptions

I know his weapons aren’t weapons but are there any numbers to support him being top 5?

I guess just using my eyeballs to see he is incredible. And trash all around him.

Legit curious if you care to look it up. What is he from week 4 on? About when his arm strength came 100% back with the repetitions, etc. My guess without looking is he would be behind Mahomes and maybe Brees in MVP talks (among QBs).

And being top 5 is because he does things to help you win. He has 3+ TD passes in like 6 straight games. As he has gotten familiar with his receivers, he has been really, really good. I’d actually give Colts a better than 50-50 shot at playoffs (and I thought that before Jacksonville win).

I'll play. My rankings are for this year only (not long term, not based on past performance, etc...). Some of this is stats based, some of this is the S&L Eye test.

  1. Mahomes
  2. Brees
  3. Rodgers
  4. Rivers
  5. Newton
  6. Luck
  7. Goff
  8. Brady (though admittedly hes been less than this season. Still betting on him getting his shit together)
  9. Wentz
  10. Ryan

Baker Mayfield has potential to get on this list next yr. I could easily see Goff/Ryan/Brady(Father time undefeated) falling off this list next yr.

I’d have Deshaun Watson in my top 10. Probably right at 10. Coa’s List looks good, except Ryan out and Watson in. And luck ahead of rivers and Newton. I’d also have Brees #1.

I actually forgot about Watson. My fantasy QB and he slipped my mind. Editing to put him in my list.

From week 4....65.5 completion % (actually lower than season total) 21 TD 6 INT and QBR around 107 (107 would put him 7th-8th overall)

Well I'm a known Watson hater, that I decided to die on that hill. We'll see if I end up looking like BR ala Weeden and eating crow or not.
