And when I was typing the question, I was like trying to figure out what the nickname “Bad Moon” had to do with anything.  And then it hit me. 🤦‍♂️

And the California team was the Golden Seals.

I'll guess 12 comeback wins. I was a youngster then, but if my memory serves me correct, they were 9-7 in 1979, and I know that they were 11-5 in 1980.
