Starting a new thread for the rest of the season.

Thoughts on the team going forward? I'm curious what moves the FO will make with how well the Reds are playing right now. Would you be upset if they moved someone like Senzel for pitching that can help over the next few years? I'd like to see the Reds end up with 75 wins or more, which was my original goal for the season, and it's unbelievable that they actually have a chance at that many wins after their horrendous start.

I personally never care if they trade prospects for proven major league talent.

I feel Herrera might be pretty darn good with regular playing time but Scooter, Peraza, Suarez, Winker and even Schebler have proven more than worthy of at bats. To me Herrera needs to wait his turn (an injury will happen)

GM wannabes still aren’t believing in Scooter but for fuck sakes he’s had 885 plate appearances and has an OPS of .883, he’s adjusted his swing and lefties nowadays are struggling with the shift....not affecting Scooter much

Yep, Scooter has won me over. I'm not going to be upset if they do trade him, but I'm not so sure they must sell high with him because I think he's a legit .800-.850 OPS bat going forward.

Don’t know if they’ll get this one in or not....probably not since I’ll be there in some good seats. I do have Reds HOF passes so if rained out it won’t be a wasted trip.

Speaking of the Reds HOF, I meant to post this on the All-Star thread but forgot until now:

When the Reds fans voted all 8 starters into the 1957 All-Star game.

It's a great story.

Let me know if there is an exhibit about it.

Holy storm at GABP

On a cool note with our HOF passes we jumped on the elevator and rode it with Mr Perfect Game...Tom Browning

Did you stay for the entire game? Just checked the box score, that was a spanking.

We stayed thru the 5th and as we left Pirates went crazy.

It was 11:45ish when we left and guessing 900 people then. My son and i sat in front row and 12 feet from Riggleman. My wife stayed up on concourse freezing her arse off.  As we got there at 5:45 pm she said she was proud of herself for not wearing shorts as she wouldn’t get cold. She was literally an ice box from 7:00-11:45. It felt like a British Open weather (during rain)

One of the worst game experiences from getting blow out, robbing Scooter of HR, rained for 2 hours (after the 3 hour delay)

But HOF and Tom Browning jumping onto the elevator with me and my son .....that was cool as hell and we walked with him thru top floor of HOF to his signing table. It wasn’t but a minute be he’s a down to earth cool dude and that made my kid’s day. We were only out gas and concessions.

Tom is a cool dude. Took BP off of him several years ago when we had the top HOF membership (half off through a silent auction).

I was at a friend's. We had it on for the first hour of rain before switching to the Indians game. I was surprised they got the game in, since when it was 7:30, it looked like about 9:15-30, as far as darkness goes. When I went to bed, I think they were in the 9th. Pirates scored one more run afterwards, so I hope they don't need that one today or tomorrow.
