posted by Commander of AwesomeMy point exactly. TT played like shit, and I acknowledge that play calling didn't help him. But when given chances, outside of the hailmary 4th down play he played like his arm was in his asshole. Both on decision making and accuracy.
Outside of the interception TT threw and that stupid reverse, I'm not going to beat Haley up too much on the play calling.
In game 1, I think he forgot who his QB was and thought he was still in Pittsburgh with TheRapist at his disposal. They lead the league in 20+ yard throws (in week 1) in a monsoon when that's far from TT's strength.
This game, he realized what he had in TT and tried to play to his limited strengths. As I said, that interception was horrific in that they were getting some rhythm and Haley got greedy. It was 2 & 4, and they should've been trying to eat some clock, running the ball (I do agree that Chubb needs the bulk of the carries). Instead, TT throws it into double coverage for the pick. No clue WTF he was thinking on that reverse to Callaway.
I think Haley realizes now that he's pretty hampered with what he has to work with at QB and has to construct a pretty vanilla offense to suit the QB's skill set. Don't get me wrong, he's called some crappy plays but it also comes down to execution.
Lost in all of this is that it seems like the O-Line did much better in pass pro, specifically Harrison.
