My point exactly. TT played like shit, and I acknowledge that play calling didn't help him. But when given chances, outside of the hailmary 4th down play he played like his arm was in his asshole. Both on decision making and accuracy.

Outside of the interception TT threw and that stupid reverse, I'm not going to beat Haley up too much on the play calling.

In game 1, I think he forgot who his QB was and thought he was still in Pittsburgh with TheRapist at his disposal. They lead the league in 20+ yard throws (in week 1) in a monsoon when that's far from TT's strength.

This game, he realized what he had in TT and tried to play to his limited strengths. As I said, that interception was horrific in that they were getting some rhythm and Haley got greedy. It was 2 & 4, and they should've been trying to eat some clock, running the ball (I do agree that Chubb needs the bulk of the carries). Instead, TT throws it into double coverage for the pick. No clue WTF he was thinking on that reverse to Callaway.

I think Haley realizes now that he's pretty hampered with what he has to work with at QB and has to construct a pretty vanilla offense to suit the QB's skill set. Don't get me wrong, he's called some crappy plays but it also comes down to execution.

Lost in all of this is that it seems like the O-Line did much better in pass pro, specifically Harrison.

When we talk shitty, we aren't talking the last 15+ years of Browns QB shitty.  That was a level of ineptitude, that I hope we never see again.

I am not surprised Pat Hackaman (get it? because he is a hack journalist) would tweet out Tyrod's passer rating.  Tyrod is not a guy that is going to get it done.  There is a reason the Bills traded him and why Bills fans weren't irate to see him go.  He plays not to lose, which is why his stats will look "ok" every Sunday.   How many  times was it 3rd &5+ and you thought there was no chance we would get the first down?  That pretty much sums up Tyrod. That shit is not going to get it done in the NFL when you have a HOF QB on the other side with many weapons.  Yesterday's offense was a complete disservice to the defense.

I also want to say again that Hue can go fuck himself.  I saw Joe Thomas defending him on twitter, because after Zane missed one of his FGs, Hue went to console him, so he would be ready for the next FG.  I know JT really likes Hue, but idgaf if Hue is a good guy.  He is a trash coach and should have been fired last year.  2 weeks in a row a good NFL team dared the Browns to beat them and 2 week in a row they completely shit themselves. Funny how we all pretty much knew within 4 or less minutes the Browns would find a way to lose.  Considering this has been a reoccurring theme, I don't know how anyone can say it's not bad coaching.

Don't know how valid, and don't know the teams involved but have heard three teams may be willing to offer a 4th, that could become a 2nd, for Gordon. If that's the case, hopefully with an NFC team, take that shit & run.

I think he overcompensated for it yesterday though by being way too conservative. That reverse was such a shitty play call.  The Saints saw the same formation and play earlier in the game.

They were very smart in announcing they were going to release him versus just doing it. I hope they send him to some super crappy NFC team like the Lions.

Heard this morning either Dallas or San Francisco, providing (obviously) that there is no impending suspension looming being the reason why the Browns are releasing him

Gordon said those are his preferred destinations. I'd prefer they send him to Hell since that's where he's helped put us since 2014. If they trade him and there's NOT a pending suspension looming, I'd be surprised.

Not to over-Brown you, but …

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who threw six touchdown passes Sunday; running back Kareem Hunt, who led the Chiefs with 75 rushing yards; and the five pass-catchers who scored the six Chiefs touchdowns Sunday to beat Pittsburgh (Travis Kelce, Chris Conley, Tyreek Hill, Hunt and Demarcus Robinson) all were drafted by John Dorsey.

The one positive out of this is Dorsey is now drafting for the Browns.  It's still surprising the Chiefs let him go, but egos get in the way in the NFL.

With how NO defended Minnesota’s hail mary in the playoffs last year, I wonder if the odds would have been better to just throw a hail mary instead of attempting a 52 yard fg with a kicker that missed double digit XP’s and a short fg in this game.

Just such an obvious result. I think there were 3 of us on here who, when Zane missed that XP to go up 9 in the 4th quarter, said we would lose the game LOL welcome to the culture of the browns.

Thinking more & more about this offense makes me want to puke.

They have 8 takeaways in the first two games and only 10 points to show for it.

They have scored 21 & 18 points in two games against defenses that have surrendered 40+ points to teams not named the "Cleveland Browns."

Somebody has to open their eyes and see that the status quo just isn't getting it.

As Laley said, they would have been better off just going for 2.  I didn't post it on this thread, but I am part of the group that said we would lose.  I predicted a 13-12 loss after the missed XP.  I was off on the score, but was on the same page regarding our kicker losing it for us.

No surprise but Schefty just tweeted that the browns will be changing kickers this week.

Also Rapoport tweeted the trade compensation will be “legit” for JG.

...just trying to find some positives with this organization lol

I firmly believe Dorsey didn't fire Hue, because dipshit Haslam didn't want to pay another failed unemployed HC.

That's also why they haven't ditched Gordon over the years. Dee Haslam saw JG as their "lottery ticket" but he never could stay clean.

Saw someone on twitter breaking down tape and said the browns consistently ran into an 8 man box in the first half. Basically saying before you bash Hyde, understand there was nothing he could do against a loaded box.

Once again, I’m blaming Hue/Haley just as much if not more than I’m blaming the players.

S&L...there's plenty of positives with this organization. Still think they just need to get that first taste of victory and things will start coming together. Seems like they (Browns) can never have both. They either have a top 5 offense (2007) and a sieve for a defense or a shutdown defense and an offense that's as exciting as watching paint dry.

I know I know. It was just a depressing day yesterday and waking up this morning didn’t help. That loss stung.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a more “must win” game than this Thursdays jets game. If we lose that game, the players and fans will shut down. If we win, 1-1-1 start to the season guess it could be worse!

They have to win this game

Browns have Cairo Santos and Blair Walsh in today.

Sounds like Bailey wants to play for a contender.
