I was at the bar but liked what I saw out of Baker. Nice pass and catch to Cajuste and then Dayes looked good, not sure they’ll keep 4 rb tho
I actually like the Roback kid. Prototype build for a QB, with a pretty good arm. Would be nice if they could slide him onto the practice squad.
He’s got decent vision but I disagree about his arm. Looks pretty meh to me. Add in the fact he’s late on every throw, I’ll pass.

I saw an interview with him this past week, and he said he understands where he’s at on the ‘depth chart’ and would welcome an opportunity on the PS...I like his size and arm too, and I think he has a good head as well.

Looked good on his TD pass. I think he’s good enough to sit on the practice squad for a year and eventually backup baker.

Precisely why I said "practice squad." The kid is very raw and needs to develop.I'm not sure he even makes it through waivers to the PS because he's shown some good things.
Time for the talk to kick in for 9/9. SCREW the Steelers! GO BROWNS !!!

I know--I was just letting you know what he said...and I'm assuming you know that PS means "practice squad", right?

No, I was completely agreeing with you. It was more directed at Kizer's comment.
On a side note, does anyone else get the feeling we (as fans) are going to have a lot of frustration with Tyrod because of missed opportunities?
Sounds like the Browns may have had traded discussions with Oakland for Khalil Mack. Imagine that opposite of Garrett? Price too steep though.
Won't be surprised if rookie Desmond Harrison (or another player) is starting at LT with Bitonio sliding back to LG. They don't sound thrilled with Corbett which looks pretty stupid, in hindsight, when there were LT's on the board where Corbett was picked and you already have a very good LG in Bitonio.
Sounds like the browns are getting in the mix for Mack. The asking price is outrageous so I doubt it happens but man adding him opposite of Garrett is down right scary
edit- missed your post BR

Don't buy it as even remotely possible.

"Getting a lot of this question. Yes, the Browns called about Mack; no, nothing is imminent. I'd not even suggest they're the leaders in the clubhouse."

I like the possibility of Mack paired with Garrett but for the starting asking price of two 1st's, no thanks.
See ya Shon Coleman!

Browns GM John Dorsey struck again, claiming five players off waivers:
*NT Carl Davis from Ravens
*C Aaron Neary from Rams
*DE Ifeadi Odenigbo from Vikings
*DB Tavierre Thomas from Cardinals
*LB Tanner Vallejo from Bills.
Being speculated that Nassib & Meder may get released.
Carl Davis from the Ravens is a nice get. He's a guy I;ve had my eye on this season. Other guys I have no clue.

Heard the DE from Minnesota could be a good get too. Apparently he was heavily recruited by OSU but went to Northwestern for the academics. Minny fans were kinda pissed they let him go, according to the OBR or whatever it's called now.
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
Info on waiver claims: #Browns DL Carl Davis had the most (CIN, WAS, LAC & CLE). #Browns LB Tanner Vallejo had 3 (ARZ, CLE and MIA), as did #Chargers DT TY McGill (BUF, PHI & LAC) #Giants DE Mario Edwards had 3 (BUF, PHI & NYG). Kevin Hogan only had DEN, Luke Falk only had MIA.
I like that other teams like Carl Davis. Makes you wonder, if 4 teams liked him enough to put in a claim, why didn't the ravens trade him and get something, even if it's a 2025 7th?
