Burrow would be so much more fun to watch with any other offensive line.

As a Browns fan, I think that Burrow is going to be good. I think that they could help out Burrow (and the offensive line) by running the ball more. It's a lot harder to pass protect when the defense doesn't have to defend the run.

Didn't watch, but this looks good on paper: 22-28, 297, 5/1

Yes, yes it does.  It helps restore my faith.

I hate not rushing the QB on a Hail Mary from that distance. At least try to make him throw it without his feet set and all the receivers with time to set up in the end zone.

I agree.

Ha yea it looks good if you didn’t know he went 0-5 and one incompletion was a spike of that number. He balled out after halftime

That was an impressive game. I was real close to saying Baker needs benched if his ribs are that bad. Shut me up real quick lol.

Defense, unfortunately, has 3 players I’d keep. Myles, Ward and Richardson.

I just got done watching all the highlights and I’m going to say that Baker did a really great job of saving this game.

I wish him well and hope that he recovers because he does have amazing athletic ability, but I don't think that this hurts the team at all. I'd love to see a break down of Baker's career stats in games with OBJ and games without OBJ.

I think OBJ did a ton for the offense that wasn’t noticed. Helped open up running lanes on second level. Created space for underneath routes. Obviously the immense talent with ball in his hands.

But, I think Baker maybe looked his way initially too often. Without a true #1, he seems to make quicker decisions and spread the ball around.

I think the team overall is worse without him, but Baker might be better. Especially with the way Baker is successful. So, potentially a net positive as an NFL team goes as the QB goes.

Had the same discussion with my friends today.  OBJ goes down and all of a sudden Baker goes thru his progressions and slings it like he did his rookie season.  Maybe he felt the pressure to get the ball to OBJ?  I guess we will see, but I obviously hope we see this baker going forward.

Interesting.  You might have something there.

And justin: please elaborate on your sighting.

Lots of defensive help starting to become available on the trade market.

  • Stephon Gilmore
  • Deion Jones
  • Harrison Smith
  • Myles Jack
  • Justin Simmons
  • JJ Watt

I’d love for the Browns to try and acquire 2 of them (Watt seems un-needed though). Gilmore immediately makes the secondary viable. Jones and Jack immediately would help the LB core. Harrison Smith would probably be relatively cheap and is a big time playmaker, though his overall game has obviously declined from All-Pro.

The price tag for Watt would be too high, but pass rushers are like pitchers.  You can never have too many good pass rusher.

Strange game: 3 - 6 halftime

Strange weather: 45 degrees with mix of sun, rain, snow, wind

6-6. Baker threw a dime and Landry bobbles it. He missed an easy one earlier too. Ugh

The defense is also absolute fucking trash.

And Baker hasn’t even been bad, no one is doing anything for him
