I found this interesting. 

Had it not been 12:15 in the morning after a long day and week I would’ve likely noticed that.

Devil made me lose focus on guess 5

I'm just blindly guessing at this point.  Have the last 3 letters and absolutely no clue what this word is.

I’ve never used the word and wasn’t sure it was a word….I thought it was an “ed” on the end

It’s a word that an old Midwest farmer might use. 

I have heard it, maybe even used it in the past, although maybe mispelled it which is why it didn't come to mind.

Anyway, 2 words left after my second guess.  One after my third guess.

A usable starting word would be “dealt”

There are only 5 five-letter words that start with those two constants.  No wonder it took me so long to try that.
