Had a $5 free bet from one of my losses on the NBA so I put it all on Randle 4+ threes + Tatum 3+ threes at +230 and it hit easily. I was initially thinking of doing 5+ on both, which I forget the odds, but chickened out. It also would have hit.
posted by Laley23I’m gonna bet some conf tournament futures. I’ll post here.
As a word of you tail, I often make future bets with the intention of hedging if the situation arises. So I’ll often take a long shot if I love their path to the final or something, if they make it, bet enough to cover on their opponent in the final.
Seems like a good time.
Just scanned through quick on FanDuel...I liked:
Big East - UCONN (+230) will have to get by Providence, then Marquette but only 1 of Creighton/Xavier will be left. War of attrition here.
Big 12 - Texas (+370) like their path...obviously Kansas, but good value here?
CUSA - FAU (+150) solid offense, and defense. Like the favorites here
MWC - SDSU (+155) Need to get by Nevada in semis, but get avoid having both Boise/Utah St as they meet in semis potentially
Big 10 - Purdue (+210) Indiana's path is brutal...Maryland, Northwestern, and then Purdue 3 straight days. Ouch. Purdue just seems like safe play here.
ACC - Duke (+270) haven't lost since Feb 11th and that honestly should've been a win...don't have to play at Coral Gables
Not seeing Futures yet on FanDuel for P12 or SEC.
I actually like Indiana path. Avoid Purdue until final. Northwestern isnt gonna beat them 3x imo. Maryland away from home. I actually think itll be Indiana vs PSU in the semis.
But, I think I like Michigan and Illinois at 25-1, hope they pull off an upset. Then start hedging haha.

So do ties affect payouts in top X bets?
Had $5 on Hatton to win at +3600 ......... would have been nice - $185. Had an offer on the back 9 for $58, should have taken it.

Northwestern and Maryland just are very good defensively IMO. Penn St certainly can get hot and win a few, but I question their defense.

Yes, ties affect payout.
That sucks and I hate it.
Yes, I found out the hard way also.
I did throw a buck on Kitayama to win on Sunday morning; fetched about $9.

I bet JT live at 75-1 after his first 4 shots on Friday. Just 3 perfect swings and a putt. Looked locked in. He was about a better 3 hole stretch Sunday from offering a nice cashout option. But the highest it got was $47 on a $5 bet when a win wouldve been $375. I have taken 2 cashouts and they backfired. JT at last years PGA and Keith Mitchell way back at the Honda. I will RARELY cashout anymore and prefer a small hedge if available.
I have let 3 bets play out when they werent in drivers seat and paid out nicely. Morikawa at whatever that tournament that was at Memorial but the week before Memorial. Koepka at Honda, and Zach Johnson at The Open. In golf, the nice thing is you only need to hit 1-2 of those winners to never question the cashout misses.
What do you think about +316 odds (after 50% boost on fanduel) on a hole in one at 17? Might throw $5 at it.

Its a fun bet. Those are shit odds. This tournament has been played here for 40 years. Thats days of golf, give or take. There have been 10 total Hole-In-Ones on 17. The boost gets it a little closer to what the odds should be, but still bed.

But two in the last three tournaments (2019, 2022 [no 2020 tournament]).
I agree it's unlikely which is why I wouldn't put more than $5 on it.

Listen, I freaking put $50 on a team to win by 4.5 on Sundays at -115 and then scoff when someone hits a +700 winner on the PGA tournament "because those are terrible odds to take outside prime Tiger."
I am admittedly someone who shouldn't be telling others how to bet their money. And in the end, you are getting plus money on a bet when almost all bets take at least some VIG and end at -105. So, I should probably not say its a bad bet. It will give you minimum of 4 days of entertainment. My only point is that based on how many tournaments have had a hole in 1, that price should START closer to +350-+400 and then get boosted to +500 or more.
Conference Tournament Winners (all $10 bets):
- Virginia - ACC +360
- Milwaukee - Horizon +500
- Weber State - Big Sky +1200
- VCU - A10 +200
- Southern Utah - WAC +650
- Arizona - Pac-10 +190
- CSU Fullerton - Big West +550
- Boise State - MW +390
- Jackson State - SWAC +1300
- Villanova - Big East +850
Parlay for $7.77 of VCU/Virginia/Arizona/Villanova at +37919
I cant bet B1G because stupid IL laws. Illinois team is in the conference, so cannot bet on it. BUT CAN BET ON THE NCAA TOUNRNAMENT!

Bet on Furman to win their championship game tonight (moneyline) and Louisiana - Layfette to cover (-1.5)
Did NBA parlay for Blazers to cover (-5) and Trae/Butler over 20.5 points and Bam over 8.5 rebounds. I’d be surprised if that won. I could see Portland screwing it up but Detroit has been real bad lately.
Tempted to jump on Cavs live line right now +3.5…
Let’s get crazy. Hield and Lillard both hit.
