As I mentioned earlier, he's the new Marvin Lewis except he has a Lombardi.

I've made that comparison before, myself.  Although Giggles never won a playoff game.  Of course, it's been 7+ years since Tomlin has, too.

But Marvin actually rebuilt that team and turned that franchise around.  It's been a very slow, steady decline under Tomlin since Cowher's coaches and players left.

If you just looked at Tomlin's last 12 years, there are very few teams that would employ him, probably not even PIT.  And no one would be calling him a HOFer.

But because he walked into a team 1 year removed from a SB and simply had to stay out of the way for them to win another, people talk about him like he's in the same class as Noll and Belicheck.

Players love him because he runs a loose ship.  I don't particularly associate that with "players' coach".

Ryan Clark just called him out saying he needs to change his approach because he doesn't have Ben or Polamulu any more.  In other words, Cowher and his guys built and maintained that locker room culture and Tomlin is the "cool parent" that lets the kids do whatever they want.

Clark has called out Tomlin in the past for the "weed culture".  I'm sure he's a great and likable guy, but clearly much more a cheerleader than a leader.

I mean I’m thoroughly shocked. Was one of the most obvious concussion looking shots I’ve over seen. Then he was weary AF for most of the game.

Hope he’s actually ok for the next game, not just playing but actually ok. I appreciate the hell out of his effort….shame on the medical staff.
