I never thought I'd be home sick. Shit I'm 30, but I'm having a rough time of it lately. I even lived in Florida for many years and never felt like this. Don't get me wrong I'm having a blast here but at the end of the day I just feel blah.

I so wish it was that easy. I'd rather not go to captains mast and lose my bonus and go undes to the fleet. I only have 7 weeks of school left. It just feels like forever especially since I'm almost on my year mark here.

Get yourself a camera and take pictures of cool stuff. When you're doing things that you know you can't take pictures, just look around and notice cool stuff that would make a cool picture.

Stay positive. 7 weeks is what, the end of April? Hell, we're almost through March already!

Spring is coming, and with it will be the end of your misery, but it's also the beginning of new things for you.

Keep that smile on your face and know that when it's all over in a couple weeks, you'll have those cool photos to look at!

I spent 8 long years in the Los Angeles area and never a day went by that I didn't want to pick up and come back to NW Ohio. It wasn't possible at the time for various financial and familial reasons, but the happiest day of my life to that point was the day I drove away, knowing that I would never have to live there again. I've been back in Ohio since 1965 and have no plans to ever leave. I did go back to California one time in the 1980's and to be honest, I had a wonderful time. Why? I knew that this time I was only a tourist and I would not have to stay there.
