A telephone survey of 800 season ticket holders. 55% were against the idea of drafting Tim Tebow. A Sr executive with the Jags says he was shocked at the results.

Not good news for the Jags when a Sr Executive is shocked that the fan base actually wants to win.

This is funny. The Jags were really into picking Tebow if they actually polled their ticket holders.

What did Jerry Glanville say about NFL coaches/management.

"If you start listening to the fans, soon enough you'll be sitting with them."

That is why I thought this was a bit strange. Another thing, dont they simply want the best player available? Maybe the best player for their needs? Or are they using their 1st round pick to please the fans?

Tebow is my favorite college player ever but im surprised even 45% were for it. I hope he becomes a great NFL player but hes definitely not worth a first round pick.

I honestly think they were going to try and trade down. Tebow is going to be there late in the first round, 2nd round and maybe even the third. They were using this to see what the fans thought of trading down to later in the round for multiple picks and then selecting Tebow in the 2nd round somewhere.

That is my assumption. They are doing this so they look smart to their fans when they take Tebow later than they wanted and get multiple picks.

Maybe they should have polled fans in Los Angeles so when they move there the fans will already be on board with the draft pick.

Was this done through the team or with their consent? Assuming possibly so.

Hell..this isnt customary? We, steeler season ticket holders, get calls each yr during the draft to ask whom they should draft.

I alone and responsible for Polamalu, Miller and wallace.

YOu can blame by buddy....he answered the fone the one time and told them to get Sweed.

Jackass.

I don't understand why the want Tebow. The chances of the Jaguars staying in Jacksonville are slim. Drawing under 50,000 fans for the first six home games is not going to cut it when LA is dying for a team.

Let me tell you a little something about Jacksonville I have learned since living here from 95 thru present. This is not a pro city, never has been, never will be. It is heavy college fan based, mostly Gator Fans. The team can't fill the stadium because people spend their dollars on college games instead of pro games Sunday. I have heard both sides say they want Tebow solely to get Gator fans to games nothing more nothing less. They are doing everything they can to sell tickets plain and simple. I for one, am not a Jags fan, but do not want to see them leave. It boosts the city's economy here and will hurt the city bad if they lose them. They need to find a way to put butts in the seats plain and simple!!
