Ben is 28 years old hanging out in a bar full of 18-22 year olds and worse he is there for one thing and one thing only. That right there is sad. I have nothing against older guys and younger women. Sometimes it happens and everyone lives happily ever after but this is not what that was. He may not go to jail but I still do not see this ending well for big ben.
The on;y fact in this paragraph is "Ben is 28 years old". Everything is else is an assumption on your part. We all know that making assumptions is not very prudent.

^^^^^There's a lot of assumptions being made on this thread. Facts are, other than Ben's statement to the police (which isn't official and came through a source) no one knows what happened that night.

This whole thread is full of assumptions. I was just trying to show the other side. Seems many think this girl is a whore or gold digger and she may very well be but she also may not be. Ben may be guilty of a crime and Ben may not be guilty of a crime. All I am saying is this can go either way.

Not trying to call you out royal K. But this comment bothers me. "Not good"

What, he needs a lawyer so they can spin the facts? If he's telling the truth he should have nothing to worry about.

I would forgive and/or forget an incident easier if these things were handled head on with out the lawyers speeking on behalf of the accused.

I know this is not the way anymore but I believe it should be.

Ben should not have said anything without first consulting a lawyer...for a myriad of reasons.

Statements made can be manipulated to suit the prosecution's case. He might be innocent, but speaking without legal representation's guidance can lead to a false conviction.

I say this...not because I think he's innocent. I don't know. And neither does anyone else on this thread. To me...it's a he said..she said thing...unless the cameras caught him doing the assault. If that be the case, then fry his ass.

Reasons created by lawyers.

Ummm, the police who actually conduct these investigations will say the same thing. Their job is to build a case, not advocate on behalf of the accused (that's what lawyers are for).

No check that, I "think" it is Steigerwald, which should tell you all you need to know.

From that blog you posted:
Most of the accounts of the incident in Georgial mention that Ben wasn’t drinking much. The implication being that he wasn’t high. Let me be the first to point out that he could very easily have been high on something other than alcohol. If that turns out to be the case, will you be surprised?
Whoever it is thinks you get high off of alcohol so how reliable can they be?

^^^^^A well known fact in Pittsburgh............Steigerwald has an axe to grind with Ben, so you can throw his opinion in to the trash.

Steigerwald specifically points to a Make-A-Wish child that Roethlisberger allegedly blew off. Per Steigerwald, KDKA opted not to pursue the matter as a news story. Steigerwald later spoke to the parents, who did not want to go public on behalf of their daughter, who had cystic fibrosis.
If that really happened then Roethlisberger is no doubt the scum of the NFL. I have joked about Ben but thats just because I can't stand Pittsburgh fans. I used to like him because he was an Ohio boy, now he is definitely my least favorite player in the NFL.

It may be true, there may be an explanation (like a scheduling conflict). It may be complete bunk. None of these guys are ever held accountable (although, maybe they are, which begs the question why Steingald's career has been knocked down 2 or 3 pegs) and it's a free for all at the moment.

What is obvious is Ben once pissed on Steingald's cheerios. Based on this article, I'm going to say Ben was justified.

This can be anything from rape to him playing a lil bit of too much grab ass with her.

True..even him grabbing her and shit isnt good either....but this could simply could be extremely minor and if he wasnt famous she may nave never ever filed a complaint.
