This astounds me. I start at 10 and go from there. There have been times where I haven't left a tip, but I learned that it sends a better message on bad service if you leave a calculated low tip. Worst service I have had in recent memory got the waitress a tip of 2.5%. That will teach the bitch to grab my food and carryout box from my hand when I say I don't think the food is going to fit and proceed to cram it in there. I also had a chat with the manager after that too.

I depends, if she is a bitch then no but if it take a while to get your food then it's probably not her/his fault.

Yeah well I only go to the same 3 or 4 places and have eaten at those places on a nearly weekly basis for years now. I know most of the wait staff, and they know what I expect from them and what they can expect in return. It works out pretty well.

If I am on the road and stop someplace I am not a regular at, I usually give 20% unless the service is really bad. I don't base my tip on the quality of the food.

I think ur supposed to tip ur change or something. Chipotle has a tip jar and I always throw my change in. They did make my food to order.
