The Lady Riders are going for their 15th win @ Clear Fork tonight, CF is a scrappy team that will not give up, they are a wack and hack team, if the Refs let them do that they will give Orr trouble again like they did here at home on Jan 2nd. We need to get better at foul shots and turnovers (15 at half in the SR. game) which may burn us in the tournament. Girls need to stay focused and take care of bussiness and take on Woodridge Sat. then a showdown with Wooster next Thurs which will be for the outright OCC championship.

CCRolly- fans like you make the rivalry special. I don't want you disappear from the Orrville threads. You are the only huddler wooster has.

Good point about lack of Wooster fans. What is up with that? I live in Wooster, have step kids that go to Wooster, while my own kids go to Triway. Why are Wooster fans so invisible? And I mean in almost all sports. That never ceases to amaze me.

Is it apathy? I would just think that a town this size would have quite a bit of enthusiasm for their teams.

I do have to hand it to the Orrville faithful, they are faithful. They love their sports over in that town. They are some of the most loyal fans I ever run across.

I've always had respect for Orrville and the way the community rallies around their teams. I wish Wooster was the same way. It used to be back in the 80's. Don't get me wrong...I always cheer for the Generals to beat the Riders, but come playoff time, I've always been there to support Orrville as well.

Same here about Orrville. I cheer against them one week a year. I think their fan base is knowledgable, supportive, and very loyal. They should serve as a model for other schools.

The next week is a big one for the Lady Riders. Wooster on Thurs. is the last chance that WH has a chance to tie for the league, if we don't take care of business. I'm sure we'll be focused on the task at hand. After all the angst in the paper after the last game hopefully this one will go smoother. Next is Manchester who has been to at least 5 of our games scouting. He has no life or is wanting to make a statement. LOL. Manchester is good and this game will go to how the seeding turns out at the district. Smithville should be the favorite, but the jockeying will be to who isn't in their side of their bracket. So this game means something and its also a way to feel out your opponent. Its makes it easier if we win, but isn't that important if we get to get a look at how to attack them. Seeded teams should be Smithville, Manchester, Orrville, and Norwayne. The top 3 teams have only 1 loss, but after the Orr-Man game one will have 2 losses. So we will meet Manchester again somewhere down the line. We'll probably be the 2nd and 3rd seeds depending on who wins the game.

Orrville should be the #1 Seed barring a collapse here.

Didn't realize the draw was this weekend. Still think Smithville is the favorite and Orr and Manchester in some order, then Norwayne.

Who was the 4th seed? Don't the 1 and 4 have to be in the same bracket and 2 & 3 in the same. Was CCC the 4th seed?

Flash, I believe you're right, it should go 1/4 and 2/3 on the same side of the brackets. I remember "back in the day" when Wooster was the perennial #1 at Jackson High School and one year #2 Boardman jumped on our side of the backets only to get beat-down by around 15-20.

Right now the coach is not spending to much time on the tournament until we take care of Thurs. meeting with Wooster, then @ Manchester Sat. Woodridge and Ashland are suppose to be gimmies but you never know in HS basketball especially girls. Coach was happy with the#2 seed and if we need to loose to Manchester let it be this Sat. I guess their head coach was fuming they got #3 and are ranked in the state.

Can't understand why. 2 or 3 means you have to play the other one sooner or later. If were 2 and their 3, or us 3 and them 2. What's the diff.? He knew it was going to be them and us as it has been the last couple of years in the districts with Smithville being 1. He's been to at least 4-5 of our games and will get to see us Sat. as well. They don't have many quality wins except CCC ( by 12 or so)which got the 4th seed (lost 4-5 games and we beat by 28 or so pts.)and Tusky Valley who they split with.

I think it's funny that coach is soooooo arrogant, same with Miller at Smithville.

Smithville has more to be mad about if not seeded 1st since they lost only their 1st game by 1 pt. after a long v-ball season and has played Westlake at the Classic and won. Manchester may be mad because they are ranked in the upper teens in the AP after hammering Tuskey Valley by 20 pts. who is ranked 5th.

That doesn't seem to be my take on Miller either. He seems quiet compared to Pappas and seems to be a good guy when I've talked to him.

My "view" only guys, I am not going to bash him into the ground like a lot of threads seem to do.
So Let's go Lady Riders tough one tonight one more step closer to the OCC Championship.

GOOD LUCK!
