Riders win a close one(39-37) on last second shot by Hanna Plybon. Officials were terrible, both ways. someone got mugged no foul next trip hand check foul. Inconsistent.

Good game and it was a `little rough and `tumble with both teams pressing at different points in the game. Girls games are definitely harder to ref due to the fact there is more inadvertent contact and you can only call so many fouls and have some flow in the game without the ref's taking over and everyone fouling out. Arnold played hard for WH and was their leading scorer and she plays aggressive defense and had quite a few steals.

Either team could have won, but Hannah Plybon wasn't going to let that happen. She looked for the ball and took the last two shots of the game like a senior would have. She hit a 3 to tie the game and then we used a motion offense to hold for the last shot and she wasn't shy to take it. Sara Aultz played big in the last minutes blocking shots and getting important rebounds.





And you can't say enough about the coach. He made the right moves at the right times. Subing offense for defense, holding the ball for the last shot, pressing when we needed to. I didn't like him when he was at that other school, but I'm liking him more and more here. Good win for the Riders and puts them in the drivers seat having beaten two of the better teams in the conference. Orrville has Senior on Thurs. and if we we can pull out a win it will make it tough on all the other teams to stay up.

Neither did I. He used to "play" us "back in the day". But I find it incredible that he is here in our house and coaching our girls. He is actually a pretty good guy and so I attribute his past performances to his great acting skills to get the job done.

One of my daughters was at the game and her first comments back home were that "the refs sucked".

Orrville's game with Senior on Thursday will determine how the first half of the season goes for Orrville who is out to a quick start. But get this quote from Seniors coach,"I walked in and told them we have Orrville on Thursday so it's Orrville week. They're a good ball club and funny things can happen over there so we'll get focused," Krill said.

This is a scary team very physical and quick, they run a bliz type press where they try and jump you all over the court they will make some steals but they are not that patient or disciplined they are not known for their outside shooting. They will try and get it to their big girl Molahan(sp?)
If we play our game it should be a victory and we will need to cut down on our turnovers from the past two games.

I love when ignorant people complain about the refs. You do realize the refs are not picked by the home school...right? You people crack me up.

Orrville wins 50-47 on a last second shot, again. Senior's Mahan is a load and shoots well from the line. Hannah Plybon hit some big 3's to keep us in the game the first half. Seniors down fall was not "funny happenings" but too, many turn overs with 24 for the game.

I'm sure the ref's were the reason. It probably was the ref's fault that the reserve game started 20 or so minutes late. I can see why they never make it here on time for the middle school games at 4:30, but this was 2 and 1/2 hrs after school ended. The coaches over there should worry less about the ref's and set an example of accountability and respect.

Sto, Do we know anything about CCC this year? They usually are well coached. There record is 4-3.

They probably will be like Madison, I do not have the scoop on this game but if you remember last year @ CCC we were up like 27 with half the 4th quarter gone and we emptied the bench and they narrowed it down to 10 or 12 and we had to put our starters back in. There #1 player graduated.

The more interesting game that night will be West Holmes vs Senior at Mansfield. West Holmes will have played Hiland earlier in the week , so it could be a breakout week for the Knights or disaster. The week after next it will be Orr vs Woo and anything can happen then.

You got that right, after Clear Fork, Orrville has their hands full with games at Wooster and Lex, Ashland and home against West Holmes then at MansfieldSr., Ashland maybe their only break. This is the big test for Orrville.

Great start Ladies. Continue to work hard the meat of the schedule is yet to come. It will get you ready come tourney time.

Close game with Clearfork (1-7). Didn't play well and a lot of fouls were called (on both sides). With 3 fouling out (2- Orr and 1- Colts) and a host of others with 4. Orrville has Wooster this week at Woo and Senior (loss to WH last week) and Lex play Thurs. and WH and Lex play on Sat. Lex to stay alive will have to beat one of those teams.
