A lot of season left. Take it one game at a time and continue to get better! Good job Lady Riders.

Orrville has found a way to win in the last minutes. Clearfork, Wooster, West Holmes have all lost in last second shots. Sooner or later you'll lose some of those. Starting the second round almost. Senior beat Lex last nite and that pretty much puts Lex out. Orrville needs to win three of the second round games against WH, Sr., Lex , and Woo to be assured of a part of the title. That will be a tall order.

The transfers have fit in well at Orrville and were happy to have them. That doesn't always happen as we have experienced before. For whatever reason they left Wooster it hasn't happened here and parents and DD's are well liked.

I think that the DR should not have included all the "drama" in the game article.

Just report the game.

I'm sure I will hear about making that comment.

Judge for yourself (and be sure to check out the comments section):

The comments section was interesting and some of the comments were made shortly after the game and maybe regretted later on. The DR article just fueled the fire that was going on in the social networking circles earlier in the week. That being said, Wooster has a great team which is in the top 4 of a fairly even league this year. West Holmes , Wooster, Lexington , and Orrville all have competitive teams. Clearfork and Madison on any night can get after it also. We've been lucky so far in winning the close ones. The rivalry has heated up some because we have the Wooster's former boy's coach, who when he was at Wooster I disliked, but have come to recognize his basketball genius LOL. It should be a good second half of the season and we hope to be good hosts to the home games we have left on our schedule and hope that strange things don't happen.

Having witnessed the former Wooster boy's coach over a large period of time, I'd like to give the following warning. Be ready for a great regular season and a loss in Sectional/Districts early on. You have been warned!

This is a tough district and a loss in the district wouldn't be any surprise. Wooster was upset by Clearfork and Madison upset Senior. Clearfork is a lot better than their record shows. Orrville plays Lex and Ashland this week.

Lex put a scare in us the 1st time around and Ashland if we play ball should not be a problem. I think the DR should of reported all that it is a story but I am glad it all came back to haunt them this time around, for those signs it say's in the OCC rules none to be present in the gym, but the coach did not care what they said or did but I am sure somebody will report it.

Orrville 46
Lexington 37

Madison 50
Clearfork 42

WOOSTER 49
SENIOR 42
Not quite as close as the last one. Orrville plays Ashland next at home on Sat. Next week is the big one with West Holmes home on Thurs and Senior away on Sat. Senior has swooned losing the last two to Madison and Wooster. That makes it Orr 0 loss, Wh -1 loss, Madison -3 loss, Senior-Woo-4 losses. Very even league battle, but could be decided next week.

Orrville girls win vs Ashland. Next week is the big week with a showdown with West Holmes stiffling defense vs Orrville's talls controlling the game. Should be a good game at Orrville and may decide who has an upper hand in the conference..

Apparently, you are talking to yourself, Flash!

I think we will bust through that "stiffling" defense!

Big game this Thurs. (W.Holmes) for the Lady Riders a win would put us up 2 with 5 more league games to go a loss to W. Holmes would put us in a tie with them. Orrville will need to contain Miss Arnold and watch Molnar and Asche which are capable of big games, believe me our coach will be ready with scouting reports and lots of videos this week. So good Luck ladies hopefully our streak will continue.

No disrespect RedRider1 but I think you meant Ronny Wachtel in that group of 1,000 pts. not Randy his younger brother, but you have a very very nice Blog! and yes you are right W.Holmes are going to be gunning for us especially after that Hoover beating.
