No its because NYK can give LeBron a 2nd star like Bosh

What they don't tell you is that they will still have no depth, a crappy coach with no defense, and a stupid front office crew.

Just talked to one GM who says Miami calling to lay ground work for pre-draft and summer trades. Don't seem like they're doing deal now.

I think all the deals that will be made are ton. There won't be any more significant trades made at this point.

McGrady to the Knicks? That opens up a ton of space for the Lebron James sweepstakes.

Yes it does.

Also leaves the Knicks with a shitty roster come Opening Day next season.

sarcasm, the Knicks offer a lot less than what the Cav's have now, or will have. Not to mention a front office that gets things done when at all possible.

Just like Chris Brossard said on SportsCenter......Wade, Lebron, or Bosh won't go to NY by themselves. What the Knicks trade does is open space for them to land TWO of the stars. This is huge!

You need more than 2 to win a championship. They have nothing left.

There's an impending cap on the way that will cause them issues with supporting casts however.

Once again, no its not.

What is NYK going to do, play 2 v 5 with a coach that has no clue how to play defense?

NYK will have terrible depth and a roster that won't look nearly as good as:

PG: Williams/West/Gibson
SG: West/Parker/Gibson
SF: LeBron/Moon/Jawad/Green
PF: Jamison/AV/JJ/Powe/Jawad
C: Shaq/Z/AV (if they do not retire)

Plus the MLE to land another good player (possible SG starter imo or C if Shaq or Z retire).

Its just not going to happen. Cleveland is stacked for a couple years now since most of the team is under contract and the majority are young (LeBron, Mo, West, Gibson, Moon, JJ, AV, Powe, Jawad, Green etc).

Add an owner who will do anything to win and a GM who actually knows what he is doing.

They will have Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, LeBron, Bosh, Jordan Hill, their choice of veterans for their mid level and biannual exceptions. Not very deep, but good enough for LeBron to go.

And Cleveland will be good enough for LeBron to stay.

If LeBron stays I say he stays. If LeBron goes, he retires.

Jordan Hill is gone, and besides Bosh none of those players are as good as Mo, Jamison, Delonte, AV, etc..

He's staying in Cleveland book it!

Since Jordan Hill just got traded to Houston, I doubt he'll be in NYK next year so you can count that young guy gone.

Gallinari is not that better than JJ right now and he plays way more than JJ. LeBron has already stated that he thinks JJ will become a star PF.

Gallinari 32.3 mpg/14.3 ppg/5.2 rpg/41% FG
Hickson 19.3 mpg/ 7.4 ppg/ 4.4 rpg/55 % FG

Hell, AV is better than Gallinari overall. So Cleveland has two PF's that are close to or better than Gallinari.

Chandler has better stats but he also gets more minutes than any of the guys on Cleveland's team plus he shoots way more. He is no better than West imo.

Now you rely on hopefully getting Bosh, not 100%.

Bron Bron will be back. You can book it. I can't wait till he signs so people will shut up with the idea that he is gone.

Exactly, Cleveland's roster is loaded for at least two years along with the MLE and great front office.

He isn't going anywhere.

The Cav's front office did a damn fine job as it looks like Amare is going nowhere.

This more than anything is what will keep LBJ in Cleveland, deep pockets and a willingness to make deals that others can't or won't. Phoenix just screwed themselves pretty badly imo, they're left with an unhappy star who will likely option out and they're now holding him. They dropped the ball, and could be bent over a barrel in any summer trade talks.

Sources indicate Cavs are done. Had talks looking for draft picks, appears like nothing can be done now.
