I never said the 70's was the best decade in the NBA, I said the 80's.

As for if the players today are smarter than players of the past... well, I'll leave the for the idiots of the huddle to debate for days and days.
You've been rather cranky recently.. What's up? :D
Cranky? I've actually been in a pretty good mood. So what makes you think that?

Actually...the Sixers were dynamite from the late 60's through the late 70's. They had one blip year when Wilt, Luscious Jackson, Wally Jones, Hal Greer, (Marshall product), Chey Walker, Matt Goukas and Billy Cunningham all left at the same time.

It was the Sixers who finally broke through and ended the Celtic reign...1970? I think?

Enter Doctor J and Chocalate Thunder....and then the Sixers became really good again.

Edit for above...It was the '67 Sixers that dethroned Boston. Also...the Seventy Sixers had 6 straight winning seasons in the 1970's.

I remember a couple of guys talking about this the other day. But for what it's worth, the Heat played zone defense for the WHOLE game last night and held the Grizz to 87pts through 2OT's. Seems as though it worked great for one night. Can't remember the last time a team played zone defense that much.
