Still thinking about the military as a way to jump start life so to speak
What exactly do you mean when you say "jump start life"? Are you thinking of it as something to do because you can't really find what you want to do with your life? Or have you always wanted to join, just can't quite decide? Just curious
I've always had an interest in the military. Idk if you recall, but I posted on the Huddle about going through the recruiting process for the Army. My recruiter promised me so many things, but once I actually got to MEPS to swear in and pick a job, things were much different. He said with an 81 I would be looking at a good job, but they wanted me to be "Field Track Mechanic".. I don't think that's bad or anything but not what I expected. He also told me I'd be looking at a good signing bonus, but there was nothing. I now understand bonuses are basically obsolete, which is okay with me.
When I say "jump start life", I just mean it will give me a direction ya know? I'm only 21, but I feel like life is stuck in neutral so to speak. Getting money to go back to school is a big thing for me.
