Twenty Ten. Just like Nineteen Ninety Nine.

Besides, two thousand and ten is actually 2000.10 ("and" is equal to a decimal). It would have to be two thousand ten.

It is two thousand ten. What one calls it doesn't mean that's what it is.

I just run around yelling "STREET FIGHTER TWENTY TEN!!!!".

I'd be worried. The box says it's the "final fight". The end is upon us!

Name one thing that's NOT state of the art about this:

If the real 2010 turns out like this, I'll be a happy, happy man.

What is the big deal about the saying of 2010? What did everyone call 2000-2009?

I don't believe I ever heard one single person say Twenty-<insert 0-9>. It was always two-thousand.

Never heard that before. Usually AND means to add or in addition to.

I ran this across my high school students after the break and it was 75% in favor of Two Thousand Ten.

As a (and I use "a" and not "an"....which could be the subject of another thread) historian, I have always referred to the beginning of the 20th century as "nineteen 0 one.....nineteen 0 two, etc.)...........however, I now realize that I didn't say, "twenty 0 one, twenty 0 two, etc.". And I think that therein lies the question of what to say. When it got to 1910, I would say "nineteen ten". Here is where "twenty ten" steps in.

Bottom line: who cares? Everybody knows what you mean! :-)
