I would imagine that if they had a lock down every day someone was on site with a gun, it would be a daily occurance.

Anyone know if they have metal detectors?

I dont think any of the Columbus Public HS's have metal detectors...

still a scary situation... i thought for a while East was turning the corner, or at least that's what I'd heard... unfortunately I guess they're not

They still could be turning a corner. One crazy person with a gun doesn't mean the whole place is bad. If someone walked into New Albany or Upper Arlington with a gun people wouldn't think that those schools were going into the crapper.

probably just a student with a gun in their locker....someone told a teacher, not a big deal and happens all the time at lots of schools and isn't reported. when i taught highschool at an inner city school we woudl have 5-6 guns per year and mostly tried to hush it up and keep it off the news.

It happens "everywhere." We had guns and bomb threats what seemed like "all the time" when I was at Westerville South from 99-03.

Played West H.S in football when I was a freshman ,then junior and senior year. D5 school in the middle of a cornfield coming to play an inner-city school a week after a shooting at the school. We won, but had to get a police escort out of the stadium.
