DS lite or Ipod Touch

I rarely travel, I have an 8gb Ipod video that I really just keep in my car and play through the car speakers….I have a PC and laptop upstairs at my house and a netbook in the family room…I have a 360 and a PS3….Verizon for phone service, just a basic plan, use an Env2.

I’m just looking for another tech toy to mess around with…..The primary purpose would probably be just to have it sitting around in the family room if I got bored or if the wife was watching Desperate Housewives or something else I’m not interested in…

DS Lite = $125
+A lot of games
+Can mod
+More comfortable for gaming (buttons, control pad, 2 nice size screens)
+Online gaming
+At least has a browser, but it sucks from what I hear.

8gb 3rd gen Ipod Touch = $185
+Has a great browser
+Tons of games/apps
+Plays music
+Plays videos


What do you think, for those of you who one 1 or both of them?

Ipod touch. I have an Iphone, got my girl both a DS and an Ipod touch, she likes the touch alot more.

iPod touch no contest. I use mine everyday. Apps plethora and trust me, there is something for everyone..

Plus the games are getting much, much better.. Recent releases of "N.O.V.A" and "GTA Chinatown" look very good and play well..

Voted for the DS..just so it didn't get shut out. But I also agree with the IPOD Touch.

I very, very highly recommend the RebelTouch from SwitchEasy.



I have had one on my Touch (along with an invisible skin from BestSkinsEver.com) for a little over a year now and absolutely love the coverage and protection it offers. I am a technophobe - and an iPodaholic in particular (I have a Touch, a 4th generation iPod Classic, a 3rd generation Nano, and a 2nd generation Shuffle) and the RebelTouch is easily the best case/cover I've ever found and used on one of my iPods, and probably even for any gadget or phone I've owned, period.

I had it narrowed down to the candyshell and the rebeltouch and went with the rebeltouch last night....

I'm an absolute nut about keeping my things clean and scratch free....I'm really bad with my TV, I feel like I have to inspect it every night, and I know I'll be the same with the Ipod Touch...
