Good season so far. Chloe is great, and glad to see Renee coming back into the picture.

The CTU director (Brian Hastings) is a super douche bag.

Thought it was a good way to start the season and build off of what happened in the first 2 hours. Renee is now the female version of Jack which is awesome, so hopefully that continues.

He is annoying me. I thought Larry Moss was bad last season but this guy has already surpassed him in 4 hours.

The plot with Renee literally makes no sense. They have said she was an undercover agent 6 years prior to this season, yet last season, she was a seemingly "sheltered" FBI agent that questioned Jack's hardcore methods and violence. There is no way more that 6 years passed since last season, so she would have been undercover before season 7, which makes no sense at all.

easy there, Tiger...You're not supposed to question the infinite amount of plot holes in 24. Just sit back, turn the brain off and enjoy!

I like the direction they've taken Renee's character. And, she IS easy on the eyes. Female version of Jack, maybe, but I don't think Jack ever would have sawed a guy's hand off.

Surprised the taser took Jack down. In past seasons, that never would have happened.

And I still can't stand Chloe.

Who's going to say it? C'mon, I know someone wants to...They put a black man in charge of CTU and he's incompetent. Let the outrage begin.

Jack wouldn't cut off a guy's hand? Lol Jack cut a guy's head off in season 2 to go undercover. With a hacksaw.

I know I shouldn't question the plot holes haha, I'll get over it. I am actually enjoying this season a lot more than the last two so far.

I think they want you to believe 6 yrs have passed. Jack's grand-daughter is at least 3 and she didn't exist last season. Somehow she and Jack's daughter will be in danger again before the day ends.

It's not really a plot hole at all. Just because she was undercover 6 years ago doesn't mean she had to torture people. She was undercover with the Russians to get information which apparently she got. She worked for the FBI then and did last season. Then she met Jack and kind of turned into him a little bit now so as to get things accomplished. This season is taking place not too long after last season ended since it is the same president in office. Didn't think it was that hard to follow.

It will be interesting how much trouble Renee will get herself and Jack, now that she is a little more outgoing. Could bring a nice twist to the show.

Hastings is HORRIBLE! I can't stand him. Hopefully he's the first main character to die.

its 18 months after season 7, and Jacks granddaughter (Terry) did exist last season. I think she showed up in hour 22-24 or something like that.

I also hope Hastings is the first to go, he is awful. But I can also see him turning into a great character later. I did hate Bill Buchannon the first couple episodes he was in.

Good point. Larry Moss turned out okay last season too. Well, except for the dying part.

I don't know. The first thing she does is cut this guys hand off? That shows me that she knows what ruthlessness is needed and definitely used it before. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense with last season, but then again, last season was awful and this one seems pretty good.

They alluded to some sort of psychological issues or nervous breakdown. That would explain the surprising change in behavior. It's the whole reason Jack is tagging along, because he doesn't feel she is mentally stable enough to handle the job.
