Yeah, I watched last night and enjoyed the numerous pot shots and jabs about the situation. And that's when it occurred to me that it COULD be a ratings ploy, or at least if ratings spike they may agree to more time.

I will be watching because I have a feeling Conan will go out with a bang. I'm pulling for him to dust-off the Walker Lever. I'm sure "In the Year 3000" bit will have a few good shots at Leno and NBC, too.

Personally, Ive always liked/watched Letterman better than either of these two!! Since letterman camme to late night in 1982.

Breaking News on TMZ

NBC strikes deal with Leno to move him for ONE FULL HOUR from 11:35PM to 12:35PM, essentially moving him right back to his old spot. Jimmy Fallon follows at 12:35-1:35AM


Conan is Gone From NBC...This Friday Night will be his last show, on NBC...

Jimmy Kimmel absolutely destroyed Leno to his face on Jay's show tonight. One of the best things I've ever seen, and I have a new found respect for Kimmel.

I don't like to make strong statements about personal preferences but.....if you support Jay Leno, you deserved to be stabbed and buried alive in a mass grave.

agree with this...almost like Kimmel arrived with a certain vendetta. I was surprised by how slicing Kimmel was, and how passive and defenseless that Leno was.

Kimmel killed him. Leno was so uncomfortable he didn't know how to continue.

Look its not Leno's fault per se, but the fact that he has let all of this happen while completely screwing Conan over is total BS

I don't like Jay Leno because he has to explain all of his jokes. If they were funny, he wouldn't have to explain them.

Right, what a genius idea by Leno it was. Invite a guy on who's made it known to everyone inside the industry that he believes you are "everything that's wrong with comedy," and let him call you out as being a backstabbing hack. Hurting your credibility and giving him a forum to gain more viewers for his show that competes with yours.

Jay is unable to realize that these people are laughing/mad AT him, not with him. It's the same syndrome that's plagued him since he stabbed Letterman in the back in the early 90's, or maybe even since he turned rat during the comedian strike of the late 70's depending on who you talk to.

The guy dumbs down his comedy to the lowest common denominator because all he cares about is the quantity of adulation, not the quality. Why do you think a guy who was making $30 million a year was flying to Vegas to do casino shows once a month, because he needed the money?

He's won the general public battle many times. The battle he'll never be able to win is for the respect of his peers, exemplified by Carson's hatred for Jay and support of Dave. He can't win the respect of those he really cares about, but he'll never admit it to himself or others. And that's the reason he had Kimmel on, because in his mind he's one of the top rated hosts in the history of television, why wouldn't Kimmel respect him?
