To all of the current/former JJHuddle.com members I want to first offer an apology on behalf of Bucknuts for the swift and decisive decision to begin charging for the Premium Forums. In order for us to provide information that you cannot find on any other sites, we have to pay a staff to write articles and keep you informed.
While I understand that some of you may hold a grudge against the site for the aforementioned changes, I ask that you still choose JJHuddle.com for a first class message board experience.
I understand we will be ridiculed and heckled, but we have also provided years of HS sports entertainment at no cost to our members. This small fee will help us better service all of our loyal members.
This site has been an eye opening experience for us to witness, and we do appreciate each and every one of you. Please consider choosing JJHuddle.com for your message board experience and thank you for the years of support you have given us in the past.

Whisky. Tango. Foxtrot.

I mean ... at least you tried, right? Can't fault you for that.

You guys dropped the ball. This isn't 1999 anymore. Think outside the box. There are other ways to increase capital besides making members fork pay a membership fee. I'm not even out of college yet, and I understand the concept of viable substitutes. You guys had to be crazy to think you could get away with charging for a message board, when nobody else does it.

Doubt this is the real person.........but....
If that is the case.......charge for the articles and extra content. If that doesnt generate enough revenue then maybe they need to look at how the compensate the writers for the articles.

The fact that they banned FFT is a great sign that they really lost all capability for rational thought over there. FFT was probably the most respected Huddler for his temperament and knowledge. He did nothing ban worthy... like many other respected Huddlers... but they banned him anyways.Chesapeake wrote:Good point!Fly4Fun wrote: What I think is great is I'm pretty sure they have banned half of us anways...

I would still like to know why they block every other forum-type website.
JJ has turned into a site where i am scared to post because i don't know if i will be gonged or not. I got banned for no reason, that makes it a place where i no longer want to be. Plus, this place kicks ass.

After reading what little MATT has posted on the "Bleacher seats" Defending this move I seriously doubt this is really him.
and IF it is what about all of us who had our usernames banned forever, you know a LIFETIME BAN
And your "small fee" adss up pretty quick to thousands of dollars and $12.00 adds up pretty quick for a FAMILY that posts on there.
We NEVER asked for a magzine we only came there to CHAT, your pay for your "STAFF" at the magazine should come from SALES of the magazine not from a chatroom. If your magazine is FAILING you need to rethink your publication.

I'm callin' shenanigans.
The real Matt Natali would know that this is an ignorant statement. Nobody reads those articles, and we stayed informed through other posters.Matt Natali wrote:we have to pay a staff to write articles and keep you informed.

Assuming you are actually Natali:
Do you not understand that it's not the decisions you make per se that draw most of the ire of members, but your complete arrogance in how you make and implement them? For example, it was implied that the decision to go to a pay model was the fault of the membership, due to the lack of response when asking for donations. I had every intention of making a donation (not a lot but quite a bit more than what you are now charging on an annual basis). All that I wanted was an answer to a legitimate question regarding the donation. I heard nothing.
Another example is the so-called "loosened rules". The reality is that nothing is looser about how posts are edited or removed, it's just now a arbitrary process. The reality is 99% of the posts that have been removed since "the change" are completely within the posted rules of the site. They are just in violation of the unwritten rules. Again, arrogance. It's clear that the management's attitude is "we'll do what we want, and you'll keep coming back". It appears that this is no longer the case.
