I agree. Creating an LLC is probably a good idea and shouldn't be too expensive. i donated the 50 bucks before this. it was by choice. i said yesterday that i was never going to pay 12 bucks to post on gaygay, but would fully support justin's efforts to spite them.

Full disclosure:
For those of you who don't know, I'm a newspaper sports guy who works on a copy/design desk now. In a previous job, I was Sports Editor of a small newspaper.
The reason no one pays for their articles and other employee-created content is because it's some of the most poorly-written and poorly-edited crap I've had the misfortune to see.
How they got these jobs, who knows? But their employee-driven content had a chance to drive that site if it was done well. Basically, they took a good opportunity and a good readership base and destroyed it because the content they provided was shit.
The best content on that site was provided by the posters in the forums, which is why they're charging for it. They understand their content isn't being read. What is? The forum. Charge for it.
Here's a better idea: Charge for the stories posted by employees, but hire god writers and editors to run both Ohio High and that website and the business would turn around some. If you give people shit for content, they won't give a shit about reading it.
You guys will probably filet me for this, but the writer whose style I most enjoy is Rick Reilly. He passed on a story once from his mentor, Jim Murray. Reilly said the thing that has helped him most as a writer is this advice from Murray: There's no law that says they have to read you. You have to give them a reason.
The Bucknuts/Ohio High/JJHuddle guys seem to have no concept of that. They appear to believe that the mere fact that their content deals with OSU and Ohio prep sports means people will read it.
