My guess is Tormund and maybe Beric. I have no reasoning. Just a gut feeling.

Ned's "proof" was only about Joffery, Tommen, and Mycella not being Robert's kids. Gendry is one of Robert's many bastards and has no claim on the throne. He can only be legitimized by the Crown, not a Septon. He potentially could have a claim then but no power to back it up. Having a character sit on the Iron Throne after disappearing for 30+ episodes seems kinda cheap to me.

I'm thinking a character more major than that - no idea who...but it's just being built up that way. GoT is notorious for having their 2nd to last episode be the shocker with the finale clearing things up and with only 8 or 9 episodes in the series left....there are way too many main characters in play.

My guess is Beric, Thoros, and Mormont. Bringing a zombie Mormont back as proof would have the most impact on Dany. Tormond lives only because there are no other named Wildling characters imo.

Littlefinger is dead weasel walking.

I think little finger will somehow come out of this ahead, like he normally does.

With Littlefinger, if he doesn't come out ahead until next year, it'll be sort of a letdown, as he'd been a master schemer for most of the show's run, but hasn't really done much of anything impressive for a while, with his whole current arc being weak attempts to suck up to Sansa. At least, the end of Sunday's show made him a schemer again, although "create hate between Arya and Sansa so he can weasel back into the mix" is a HUGE step down from "plot with Olenna to kill Joffrey and frame Tyrion and Sansa" as far as evil plots go.

As for the North trip, it's hard to say who all will die. I mean, due to being minor characters, Beric and Thoros are probably fairly safe bets and, despite being the last named Wildling, Tormund is enough "pure support cast" to go too, but with the accelerated pace of the show right now, you really can't say anyone but Jon and probably The Hound has plot armor. I mean, normally, you wouldn't expect Jorah to get killed off right after being saved from Greyscale; or Gendry to be killed off right after being re-introduced and getting his Baratheon lineage brought to the forefront...but who knows. I mean, this week, I really wasn't expecting Dickon to be immediately fried after he got brought into focus last week with the scene where he felt bad about killing the Highgarden people and then saved Jaime's ass during the battle.

Mormont being the zombie they bring back to Dany is a REALLY good call - I think Cersei and Jaimie know him, too?

I don't think they'll kill Tormund. I think they save that for the first big WW battle at Eastwatch. Won't kill him before he gets it on with Brienne.

Tormund is dead, but I don't see it until he helps Jon kill a White Walker, almost sacrificing his life so Jon can survive and be king. Don't see it as part of this episode.

I think Gendry is gone for sure. He was an open ended character who they need to "pay-off" to he audience. Dying is a great way to end a plot line you haven't focused on for 3 seasons and don't want to focus on moving forward.

I think Gendry will stick around to help build weapons (using dragon stone) to defeat WW's

I don't see how they can kill off Tormund before a full-blown battle at Eastwatch. Unless that particular battle isn't going to happen, but that would mean the Wildlings abandoning that post, or Jon and a much larger army meeting them there (neither of which makes much sense). I suppose it's conceivable Tormund dies, and Jon pulls everyone from the castle back in retreat knowing they have no chance of defending that wall.

Gendry is expendable, but Jon, as King, could at some point legitimize him to restore/rebuild one of the great houses. The dark horse theory is, with Sam's help, he'll forge more Valyrian steel. But that seems too minor of a plot point to spend time on - they have dragon glass and dragons, do they still need Valyrian steel?

Yeah, maybe I won't be so quick to dismiss this....operating on the theory that nothing is shown without a purpose - otherwise why make him a blacksmith, or why have Davos eyeball some of the swords he'd made?

Cersie and Jamie should know Mormont's name at least. They would definitely know the face of the Hound or Thoros

It's been on the internet for most of the week. (At least since Wednesday.) I just streamed it on my firestick.

Was going to ask....I think it's an absolute shame if anyone is watching GoT on anything other than a big screen
