Cersei still has people left to fight. Clearly, they are building up the "weapons" storyline to kill the dragons. She's still going to have people and artillery to fight Dany.
I just think it's funny that Dany could have done this a long time ago lol. Like, you have these badass warriors and three badass dragons and it took several seasons to actually use them. So stupid!

I got you. Thought that's what you meant, but wasn't sure. But I tend to agree with what Tyrion has been telling her, and Jon basically agreed with - the scorched earth policy is not how you win loyalty and trust. One nitpick....Your army has no food, so let's torch all the wagons carrying boatloads of food (and gold, which was probably vaporized).

To answer some of the questions on how Daenerys and Co. got to Jaime so quickly, this interactive map is useful:

If Jaime was leaving Highgarden around the same time that Daenerys was leaving Dragonstone, then Daenerys would have intercepted that Lanister army before they could get back to King's Landing. Judging by the distances in the map - it would appear to be that way even with a couple day head start for the Lanisters. They also would be traveling at a much slower pace with all of the supplies they were carrying. So that isn't too far fetched that they caught them.

Interesting dark horse theory I read: Jaime as the "Prince that was Promised", which says the Prince is "reborn amidst salt and smoke". Well, water symbolizing baptism/rebirth, and there's a ton of smoke on that battlefield....

I don't get why everyone is so hung up on this. Agreed - the bigger issue to me was how this was a surprise attack? Everyone knew Dany was at Dragonstone. How does she sail off with a Dragon and Dothraki army while nobody notices? That's a really good point. You would have expected Jaimie to have someone watching Dragonstone (if he doesn't have spies). She did listen to jon and tyrion though. They told her not to destroy castles and villages. She didn't. Not the most action packed episode but definitely set up the final two episodes.
It looks like the next episode is going to just be the one storyline of jon and co beyond the wall. I love when thrones does that.

Well it depends how you look at it, I guess. Gendry is Baratheon's boy, so if you believe Robert's lineage is the true heir, then, yeah, Gendry is heir. I can't see the Gendry thing happening. He's such a minor character, I think they just brought him back because they kind of left his storyline untouched and needed him back to start back up the Stark-Baratheon alliance.

I guess Sam is going to do some reading on his trip....which means he should know absolutely everything when he shows up in a week or two after teleporting.
Kind of annoying, though, how he's whining about searching every text for clues...and then just says "screw it" and randomly grabs a couple armloads of books on his way out.

Can we stop bitching about the "teleportation"? The most painful storyline in any season has been Brieanne escorting Jaime back to Kings Landing for an entire season. I'll gladly jump days ahead in the plot line without having to watch what's going on elsewhere in the world just so the timeline matches up.
Ill simply choose to beleive everyone just sat around arguing over the next move at Winterfell, Kings Landing, Dragonstone etc for days lol.
