Uh....anyone see where Stanton hit a ball in BP at Citi Field? He and Eduardo Perez are sitting in the upper deck, 15 rows from nose bleed top of stadium in LCF. I'd guess 540 ft.

In strange and wacky news, someone from the Pirates (McCutchen) hit a ball so hard it went over the wall. Usually, it seems it's them watching guys on the other team doing that.

I wonder what happened to Cutch? As a Cubs fan, I'm glad he's found mediocrity, but damn....I like the guy and hope he bounces back.

Last year, the word was that he just had a bunch of nagging injuries and never got into a comfort zone. He usually gets off to slow starts, but has been hitting better recently. Against the Reds, he was one of the few guys who was actually making connection.

Kris Bryant just joined Joey Gallo with the longest HR I've seen this year.

Carlos Martinez with an interesting line.

5.1 innings, 11 K's, 8 walks. The first 62 pitches he threw in the game resulted in a walk or a K. Nobody put the ball in play.

My god. Get it together. That stuff drives me crazy. Impressively unimpressive

Marcell Ozuna with a cool catch. Gets to the wall, hangs on it for 2 seconds with one arm and snags the ball with the other.

Bullshit replay in Yankees game. Judge got hosed. Replay showed ball definitely was going out

Other than the fact he could've stopped 2 steps prior to wall and caught it eye level...

Any baseball historians have a counter to this? I always just assumed Ty Cobb was just a piece of shit who happened to be amazing at baseball.

I didn't watch this video, but I have seen rumblings recently that the whole "Ty Cobb was a racist" meme was basically started by one dude with a grudge and that there really isn't any evidence to support it. I haven't researched it independently, however, but it seems it's a growing movement.

The video covers that. Give it a watch, it only takes 4 minutes of your time.

Apparently almost all of it is lies except the time he went into the stands to fight a guy who may have lost his fingers from working at Tammany Hall (pieces of shit themselves) causing the Tigers to protest his suspension and field a team of amateurs & minor leaguers (Have you seen that lineup?).

"Once turned a tap back to the pitcher into an inside the park HR"

That takes away a lot of potential credibility in my eyes.

He gave a lot of good stuff siding well with Cobb but a couple trying to hard moments hurt his overall video.

This. I stopped watching when I heard that.
