So what happened to the fantastic health care plan President Trump campaigned on? The one he promised to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a much better plan everyone would absolutely love on day one of his presidency? Enough free passes. President Trump should be held accountable for his campaign promises.

Trump never had a plan. He just wanted to be able to say the current plan was replaced. It could have been single payer and he would have considered it a victory.

So should congress, they own it at this point. Trump already told them to get him a bill and he will sign it.....even if it is repeal and replace.

The dems are the ones that are doubling and tripling down on this. THey know Obamacare is a disaster and they are cheering and high fiving on the collapse and unwillingness to work across the isle to do something about it. The dems will pay for this in 2018 and 2020 by losing more seats.

The Rs have a majority. Nothing the Ds do would have any meaning if they were on the same page. You can type all the bullshit rationalizations you want, but the simple truth is your party is too full of fail to do anything even when they have the advantage.

dont disagree at all. Both parties suck ass. THe R's are playing politics with the USofA. But the Dems DO OWN Obamacare and anything that happens going forward.

The whole "Trump isnt holding up his promises" argument is BS. THe Senate is at fault on this one. The only way Trump owns this is if a bill hits his desk and he doesnt sign it.

Uh, pretty sure it's the presidents job to lead both parties to work together. He is currently no different than obama, who refused to do it as well. We all know you (and many of us) called out obama for the same shit, so Trump shouldn't be getting a free pass on this either.

Pretty much. He can't even get the Rs to work together under a situation where if they did, the Ds wouldn't be able to do anything but impotently grind their teeth; let alone get the Ds to work with the Rs.

As for CC's other comment: The Ds do own Obamacare. Anything that happens going forward? No. The Ds don't own the Rs shitty attempts to half-assedly replace it and they don't own the Rs inability to work together to make anything happen. They also don't own the simple truth that the Rs had no actual plan in their minds other than "We're gonna get rid of Obamacare to show we can be proactive and shit!!!", but with no actual idea how to implement said "plan".

I agree, but can't 100% agree. If Obamacare continues to fail the Dems and Obama deserve criticism as they shoved it down our throats without apparently even knowing what was in the bill (hi Nancy). Now, will they be criticized? I highly doubt it and if they are it will be overshadowed by the ineptness of the GOP. Just turn on the TV and nobody will mention the Dems. So, I have no idea which world CC is living in where this somehow will hurt the Dems more than the GOP lol.

At the end of the day this is just par for the course. Both parties love to one up each other to see who can come off as the biggest dipshit.

When President Trump was running for office he made no mention of Congress. He stated he had a plan ready to go on his first day in office. Just more empty promises to get votes. Who says Trump isn't a real politician?

In all fairness they don't have 60 in the Senate so just like we saw here, the Ds can stop anything they want.

heard on talk radio this morning that Trump gave the reins to McConnell and he is screwing it up. Trump has been on the phone to Rand Paul every day. So if this deal gets done then Trump is doing it.

This sounds like so much bull shit. Trump did say he had a plan ready to go that was going to be great. He has nothing and can't get anyone to cooperate.

you do realize that the Pubs had 7 or 8 plans on the table a few years ago and the Dems wouldnt even talk to them or compromise. It was "pass it to see what is in it". Dont blow off that Trump didnt have anything. Of course he didnt. THe republican party did.

No. Just pointing out that President Trump "drain the swamp" and I know better than anybody else was just a bunch of bs. President Trump is a habitual liar no different than most politicians. The new boss is just like the old boss.

If the Pubs have 7 or 8 plans what is stopping them from presenting them now? All they had during the Obama administration were cries of repeal. Nothing more.

It's there, you have to dig for it. It's right there behind his "defeat ISIS in 30 days" plan.

That's what I love about deflectors. They'll bash something all day long when the other guys does it, but when their guy does something, they'll simply say something along the lines of "Well, he did all this, too!!!", like that's some sort of iron-tight defense. Sadly, it is not, leaving me with the hilariousness of watching the people who bitched every time someone compared Obama to Bush II doing the same thing with Trump to Obama.

Long way before 8 when the site Rs started getting testy about it.

EDIT: This is more like 11 months instead of a half year, but applies.

http://www.ohiochatter.com/forum/showthread.php?2095-Obama-s-speech-on-Afghanistan-tonight

Site Rs crying because in giving a speech about Afghanistan, he referenced Bush's policies there negatively.
