Curry is overrated. The league embarrassed itself when he won unanimous MVP last year.

Curry is easily the most protected player in the NBA.

Could you imagine if Lebron pretended to take a dump on Golden State's court.

Yep. Hopefully he tries to take the ball inside and one of the Cavs knocks him on his ass and the refs don't protect him tonight. The Cavs physicality Friday night was much needed. I'm skeptical that they will be able to get away with being too physical tonight. Plus it pisses me off that it seems like all the younger kids coming up want to "be like Steph." Instead of learning the fundamentals, and being well rounded, they just want to chuck 3's.

Never thought I'd say this but if somehow this goes back to Cleveland, this series will go 7. And if it does come back to Cleveland, I could see Draymond doing something REALLY stupid.

Younger kids have been adopting the less than fundamental way of basketball for a while now. Blame the constant iso, street ball mentality, and yes, now you have them chucking 3s every chance they get.

I don't know about you, but when I played our coach would lose his damn mind if we shot a 3 from the corner on a fast break.

Ha....back in my day, I'm not sure they even had the 3 ball in high school. :p

When I played, (high school late 90s, college early 2000s) we ran our break for a corner three. Both coaches were heavily influenced by Bob Huggins.

Blame Allen Iverson.

- I doubt anyone on your team was shooting 45%+ from 3
- Your coach doesn't sound innovative.

This was when I was 16.

He was a big fundamentals guy. Point is, the NBA has gone away from fundamentals in general and kids are copying it, it's nothing new.

Ok. I'd argue if fundamentals were so important, and GSW are not playing with them, then they're not that important after all. This GSW team would mop the fucking floor with the 96 bulls, dream team, etc...

Irrelevant. I'm talking about fundamentals in the youth game, originally responding to BR.

Then again, we would have gotten in trouble for a LOT of things they do in the NBA: jumping to pass, fading away on shots, starting a dribble without going anywhere ...

That last thing is something it seems like Kyrie does incessantly. Seems like he just dribbles to dribble sometimes.

I totally agree with you. Seems like nobody wants to be Lebron or KD anymore and they all want to be Steph. Guess it could have something to do with the fact that more kids are liable to be 3'7", like Steph, instead of a 6'8", 260 lb freight train like LBJ, or a 7 footer, who can do just about everything, like KD.

So you're saying pumping a 3 pointer and then immediately turning and walking away, in arrogance, instead of following your shot, like Curry, would be a bad thing in your day? ;)

So, what strain of weed are you smoking these days? That 96 Chicago team would sweep this team winning all games by double digits.
Rodman would give Durant fits.
Pippen would erase Klay from the score book.
Jordan would make Curry cry.
The warriors wouldn't break 90 against that team.

I think it kind of depends on what rules they played by. I'm as old school as they get and I think I'd take the Warriors in that matchup.

lol KD would BF rodman all over the floor.

96 Bulls v 17 GSW score would be 175- 93 Warriors.

Yeah, I'm not seeing how the Bulls sweep GSW...

They couldn't even sweep the Sonics lol. Nobody could hit a 3 on those Bulls teams. Just didn't matter cause nobody was smart enough to realize shooting poorly from 3 is better than shooting well from 2 in that day.

I think the 2000 Lakers would be the much tougher matchup than the Bulls tbh. I think the Lakers would take that series in 5 or 6. Nobody could stop Shaq.

That 2000 season might be the most dominant season from an individual player in NBA history.

Hell, I think a matchup between this year's Cavs and that Bulls team might even be a tossup. I think this year's Warriors team is better than the Cavs but I wouldn't say light years. It's so hard to project a matchup like this just due to the different eras/styles of play/rules.

I know LeBron's faced tougher competition in the Finals than Jordan or Pippen ever did.
