Sam taking his family's Valyrian sword was significant. The theory is that it is the 'twin' of the sword that Jon Snow has. Sam's sword has been in the fam for 5 generations, just like Jon's who had previously belonged to the original Lord Commander in the 1st season.
Since Same is obvi a bitch and won't do much with it, Jon's soon-to-be-revealed twin will be the bearer of the sword. When Ned went to save his sister at the tower in the warg flashback, he was with a dude named Howland Reed (the one who stabbed the knight in the back to save Ned). When Ned runs upstairs, he finds his sister who just gave birth to twins. Ned takes Jon, calling him his own. Howland takes the other, who turns out to be Meera Reed, the girl dragging Bran around.
This then falls into line with the idea that Jon Snow (and now his twin sister) are half Stark and half Targaryen, able to ride dragons. Eventually they will have a reunion with Dany and it'll be game over for everybody else.

It makes a lot of sense, considering we've not seen(?) Aegon, whom many thought would form the third head of the dragon. Also, I think most signs point to Dany being Azor Ahai since the part of the prophecy points toward "wake dragons out of stone". The new Red Priestess thinks it's Dany, and I'll give her benefit of the doubt since Melissandre is already 0 for 1.

Wasn't surprised by the survival of the Hound. Will be interesting to see how he comes back into the story (good or evil). Things seem to be shaping up for a pretty big war at the end of the season. Arya's scene was predictable. I think the high sparrow's days are numbered, it appears Margaery is faking it all.

I did think it was odd when she was fighting in the middle of the street as a beggar and no one batted an eye.
