You may be well suited for Denmark; they want to tax red meat to thwart climate change.

Honestly, it's as though we are living in the twilight zone right now.

Simply laughable; as though it would have any effect whatsoever. Similar to removing one grain of sand from an ant hill and hoping for change, all while demolishing the economy. Brilliant.

Taxes that help account for the negative externality of a product's true cost is beneficial to society.

1 grain of sand = 16% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Only mind numbing if you don't understand economics or climate science.

Thousands of otherwise seemingly intelligent people fall for fraudsters and scammers every day. That's why they remain in business.

God bless.

You mean like Big Oil and their lobbyists who constantly assure us that everything is okay?

Yes, they have totally altered solar irradiance and the solar system shall never be the same, much less Earth. They should be held accountable by trial lawyers and other BIG government-loving liberal bureaucrats, not to mention the UN. I assume Al Gore will be begin his private jet fuel boycott any day now.

I figured that was coming.

So getting back on topic, you lost your original religion to Earth worship; is that what you are trying to say?

I look at facts and evidence from multiple sources and make determinations based on that.

Not at all. Again, if we DO indeed do our part, we buy time. Time is a good thing. Just not the solution.

No shit dude. I'm not expecting to solve human induced climate change over night but it'd be nice if the US lead the charge instead of sitting with our thumb up our butt and blaming China and India's inaction.

Makes more sense to "worship" an actual thing that we all live upon than a nebulous concept based around folklore and tall tales.

No disagreement there. Never was. However, I do think we should at least focus some time and attention to it.

Good, because it is hard to solve something that doesn't exist.

The overwhelming amount of data and climate scientists disagree with you.

And yes I'm ignoring the painfully obvious irony of religious belief and this statement.

I haven't seen anyone blaming China and India's inaction. I may have missed that somewhere.

A global solution is need for a global problem. If the U.S. wants to "lead" they should consider gaining a global consensus to address the concerns...otherwise they are just a country who is acting autonomously and "hoping" others jump on board.

Leaders lead. The US can lead the initiative by example.

Or I guess we can just sit on our hands and go "Welp, planet is warming, future generations are doomed, where's my Mai Tai"? Boomers are the worst.

1. Once again....I haven't stated we should "sit on our hands".

2. I'm not a boomer.
