Probably the ones who didn't believe in war. You asked why he applied since he was a college kid. I answered that for you. Sorry you didn't like it.

The fact you are avoiding is its not a good idea to have a "conscientious objector" as our commander in chief.

Having warhawk presidents hasn't exactly been good for us.

Well that's the opposite of a conscientious objector.

Yeah, I'd say he is what's wrong with America lol
I don't get the impression from the article that he's running from anything. He admits his failures and highlights the the efforts to dig out form them. If the FBI investigated him I have no doubt any illegal activities will be addressed.

I don't think he would lie about not being a supporter of Mr. Sanders.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/271285-ron-paul-sanders-just-a-variant-of-trump

"Ron Paul has an interesting way at looking at Sanders and Trump....concluding that both are authoritarians.

Ron Paul on Tuesday vowed he could not support Bernie Sanders’s White House run because of the Democratic presidential candidate’s similarities with Donald Trump.
“No, because he’s an authoritarian,” he said when asked if he’d back the independent Vermont senator on “CNN Newsroom."
“He’s just a variant of Trump,” the former Texas representative added. "Even the things I worked with on Bernie, some of the foreign policy, he’s a part of the military industrial complex.“He was a big voter for militarism. He’s an authoritarian of a different color, but Trump’s a super authoritarian. Trump wants to be the boss.”..."

How I wish Rand could have been a little more like his dad and not pandering as much as he did.

As for Bernie, after today he will be done.

Could someone pass that memo along to the Facebook Feel The Bern Committee, as they still seem to be regularly posting with their "Yeah, we got this!" attitudes still completely intact and since they seem to be the most annoying of the politards I have to view/interact with, I'd like this to stop or at least slow down a good bit.

I'm enjoying the irony of American Sanders supporters lecturing me, a former Soviet citizen, on the glories of Socialism and what it really means! Socialism sounds great in speech soundbites and on Facebook, but please keep it there. In practice, it corrodes not only the economy but the human spirit itself, and the ambition and achievement that made modern capitalism possible and brought billions of people out of poverty. Talking about Socialism is a huge luxury, a luxury that was paid for by the successes of capitalism. Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely. But the idea that the solution is more government, more regulation, more debt, and less risk is dangerously absurd.

I get what he's saying .. I understand his point.. but he might as well have said "Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely.. but tough shit it is what it is." because you never hear a solution to the problem.

Is it his job to tell you a solution? He told you, through his experience, what is NOT a solution to our problem. Cross that one off the list, what can we try next.

I don't think he said "tough shit it is what it is", he's trying to make sure we don't make a mistake by heading down this path. The solution we are looking for is not this direction.

I didn't say that's what he said.. I said he might as well have. And no it's not his job to tell a solution, because thats the point... there is no solution. It is what it is. That's a cause of Capitalism. You're going to have more severe income inequality as it grows. The point Mr. Kasparov is so severely missing is, we're not Russia. Bernie isn't asking us to be a fascist regime. He's asking us to use the benefits of Capitalism to help everyone more. Just like the UK, Germany, France, Australia.. you know.. pretty much every other 1st world country. No ones suggesting disbanding Capitalism, just using its benefits socially more so than we are. And to suggest otherwise is blatantly wrong and a lie.

And income inequality is where it should stay. The cream rises to the top. Who are YOU, or anyone else, to tell the hard WORKING people that are busting their ass, making a significant income, that they have to SHARE it with someone? Fuck that....earn your damn keep instead of looking for a handout (that's directed as a generality, not at you specifically Zwick).

I choose to give my money to causes other than 23 year old girls, with 7 kids, whose full-time "job" is popping out babies so she can collect a FREE check for her and her baby daddy(s).

You're already giving to that. What does that have to do with Bernie Sanders.

It should be eliminated except for those who TRULY need it. The Democrats "party line" seems to be "free shit....give, give, give!" I have no issue giving to those that NEED it like the elderly, disabled, etc but the people that are collecting fraudulently can go to Hell.

Well we're all ears. When you come up with a feasible way to determine who needs and doesn't need assistance for 300 million people, I'm sure congress would love to hear it.

C'mon man, everyone can see that the system is being abused. Hell, Ironman posted a thread about some dude leaving Wal-Mart with a bunch of food bought on a SNAP card that got into a high end vehicle. Shit like this is why this country is so screwed up financially.
