Yeah rt is important. Now shut up about oline. Thanks
NFL Draft
This team is going to get younger regardless of your "loyalty" to players that helped the Browns get to the cusp of the AFC North title with that "illustrious" 3-13 record.

Takes time to develop. Look at Schwartz. He had to develop into best rt in football.

"Ask Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees, Manning, etc,"
I really fucking hate when people say that. THEY ARE ELITE QUARTERBACKS. No fucking shit they can win without 3 pro bowl linemen, an elite defense, an elite WR, etc. They make up for holes in your roster, BECAUSE THEY ARE ELITE QUARTERBACKS.

The intention is to draft that elite QB, correct?SportsAndLady;1784417 wrote:"Ask Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees, Manning, etc,"

Hell, you can use the bottom tier teams, who seem to have found their franchise guy, as examples. Carr, Winston, Mariota & Bridgewater don't have 3 Pro Bowl lineman but they are doing fine.
And if you put those original QB's behind lines that don't at least have serviceable linemen, they aren't going to be "elite." You don't need the best of the best at every position on the O-Line. You are going to have what are considered weak links.
I don't want Mack & Schwartz to leave either but the Browns shittiness has pretty much sealed the franchise's fate as to whether players want to stay here. Mack and, more importantly (while he's still young), Schwartz probably look at Joe Thomas and think "I don't want to be like that on my last contract (never tasted consistent winning or at least one playoff appearance). Can't say that I blame them.

It's one man's opinion. If you're not a blind "homer", you're not part of the "clique."
As I said, time will tell. Let's just see if they win a ring while Joe Thomas is here. If they do, I'll GLADLY eat crow, but if they don't, you are the homers that are going to look like a dumbas. And I'll be one of the happiest people here if they do win it. /BR

Uhm Mariota's team is picking ahead of Cleveland in large because of how poor the o-line play was. So if you're saying Mariota is a franchise QB and that he's doing fine, then you're completely talking out of both sides of your mouth. You can't say OL isn't important AND Mariota is fine when his team is picking 1st.BR1986FB;1784446 wrote:Mariota... don't have 3 Pro Bowl lineman but they are doing fine.

Good, fuck him. He was always trying to do football stuff and he's like a marketing guy. I know he rubbed last coaching staff the wrong way.

^ Yep, didn't see your post before I started mine. It's rare to see a power struggle that everyone ends up losing, but I think its probably a good thing to make a clean break from all of those clowns.

If you want the organization to see you in a positive light and that you're a "changed man", I can think of better people to be hanging out with....

Then apparently you don't "GAF at all" if Gordon returns because that's the LAST person you want in Gordon's ear or around him. Also sends a bad message to the front office, who may be considering cutting him anyway, about his decision making skills.Commander of Awesome;1785034 wrote:Really DGAF. At all.
